I was so sad to hear from Cotton Idea Studio today because after three years they have decided to close up shop. I wish them the best of everything… and hope that their road leads them to happy new places. Let’s send them off with a smile, shall we? Why not help them clear their shelves — they are offering a 50% discount valid until the end of March on their website. Please go have a look — products are limited so don’t think to hard about it, now is the time to be spontaneous! :)

Wishing you well Cotton Idea Studio!

Always stinks when a great creative company decides to close. I’ll have to hop over there and take a look, the photos you have posted have intrigued me!

its so sad to hear about great shops going out of business. I wish the economy would get better — small businesses could really use the boost.

Such beautiful things! It will be such a loss to the design community to see them close up shop!

What a beautiful shoppe. This is my first time seeing their work and I really love it; it’s too bad they are shutting their doors. I really love the giraffe stocking – how cute!

How terribly sad that another beautiful shop ( and a stationery one at that) is closing. Our independent stores have been hit incredibly hard by this terrible economy and it’s just a waiting game to see when it will end and who will survive. As a stationery designer myself, I am heartbroken by the huge losses my community of designers has been taking. We are already a shrinking industry because of changes in our social landscape. It has been a rough road for our company for the last 24 months. I just hope that by the time things turn around all of us paper loving / card sending peeps will still have some beautiful shops left to represent all the amazing talent that exists out there!
