Heather Lins Home has bold contemporary designs for the home that I’m guessing you’re going to like if you’re a typography fan. Heather is a graphic designer in Madison, WI who decided to give screen printing a whirl and launched a home accessory collection a few years back that is both modern and classic — so crisp!
Heather’s background as a graphic designer is very evident in this line — my favorite is the numbered edition collection with a ruler on the placemat and numbered napkins and coasters in cream and black. I also like the speech bubble pillows – that’s another popular motif (the speech bubble) and typography motifs are still all the rage… Love them both!

Yes! I love those numbered napkins. Helps organize things at busy dinner parties and people can easily keep track of their own napkin. It’s a win-win situation, don’t you think?

I have some old linen table napkins which are numbered very discreetly on the corner – I was told it was to keep track of them in a big household (there were 14).
These are good fun for type types!

I love the numbered napkins and I think a great idea would be to use them at a wedding as the table number. All number 1 napkins on table 1, 2 napkins on table 2 and so on. Since you probably couldn’t rent them in most areas and would have to purchase them, after the wedding you could have them laundered well, packaged 1-8, and given to your wedding party as a thank you memory.

These are awesome, I love the ruler on the placemat. @Tricia Rose, that is so neat about the old napkins you have. @Amber, that is a great wedding idea.
Have a great weekend Holly. :)

Yikes. Speaking of type…typo. “…if your a typography fan…” Should read, “…if you’re a typography fan…”

Totally forgot to mention that I used numbered napkins for a table setting luncheon last October. My theme was Readin’ Writin’ and Rithmatic. I posted about it and my favorite other tables if you would like to see how they turned out. Just bulk dinner napkins, ink stamped and heat set. They were fun and cheap. Of course I would love to have a set of Heather Lins which are perfect, but since I refuse to pay more than $4 for a plate, the price is above my $2 napkin limit. I would be happy to win a set though. Just a thought.

Saying I’m a typography fan is definitely not enough, I’m a typography ADDICT! And these napkins are good good good!
Ciao!

Gasp!! This is one of those so-simple, brilliant ideas. I love the napkins. I had no idea I liked typography so much. But I guess I do. Holy crap … I wonder what else there is out in the world I didn’t realize I love. I hope it’s not the mailman. Or even worse, Dancing With the Stars. :)

I am swooning over the “Numbered Edition Coasters”. How charming would they be to use at beer/wine tastings?!?
