I love every piece. Our walls have lots of old frames with prints, etchings, and photos. And a few old quilts.
Most of it is ‘picked-up’ or ‘found’. We lived in Germany for 6 years (in the 70’s and 80’s) and were always going places. Instead of ‘tourist stuff’, we often found old prints and etchings that were cheap (then) and I took lots of photos. We did not frame them until we came back to the US and then did them one at a time.
We now go to lots of auctions, flea markets and ‘antique’ or junk shops. We have changed some of the new frames for antique ones and are still on the hunt for old prints.

This is such a great question and something that people should definitely think about before buying a piece. As an artist, I love nothing more than when people tell me that my paintings make them smile. It’s such a fantastic feeling!

    happy – alive – productive – excited –
the more I do & share the more my creative juices flow.
I do my projects to please me and they do.
I donate a lot of my work to charities
like the local Autism center fun raiser
a local Pub crawl for Haiti relief
silent auctions for families struggling to pay
hospital bills due to catastrophic illness.
I keep many things for a while just to enjoy them.
I have sold things , but it’s the sharing of the ideas
and inspiring someone else to try a project that I love .
art helps in healing and growing and social interaction.
and building self esteem . I an a recycle up-cycle artist
finding and sharing creative ways to re-use
and create something beautiful and fun for pennies
    just makes my day.
