Olioboard: Moodboard App

I wrote about Olioboard today over at Real Simple but in case you didn’t see it I have to show and tell here too! Olioboard is a new web app for creating your own moodboards online that you can save, share and also click on products to shop for them. It’s such a clever app that I’m sure many of you will like. I bet this will be one of those, “Oh why did Holly have to tell me about THIS?” websites though because I imagine it could be a major time robber. But hey, have fun (and free!) and perhaps after trying it a bit you can let me know what you think.

Olioboard

Note: The above board was not created by me, it was made by a Olioboard member.

I just created an account called decor8, if you want to connect with me there. See you at Olioboard!

A heads up that the olioboard server is getting pretty bogged down with all of the people going to the site today. It may be a bit slow — we’re working on speeding it up though!

Thanks and looking forward to seeing everyone’s creations :)

Awesome! There’s actually another tool out there that pulls out the background white space from the objects so you can layer objects on top of one another called Polyvore- it’s main objective is fashion but I like using it for staging interdior design and parties:

Oops sorry, just noticed that my old URL is still in when commenting on your site. The post above! Sorry! Its a broken link. I was forced to change my blog URL due to a legal process against Husmusen.se (who does’nt really sell interior design, and I lost thousands of visitors…) however you can find me at http://www.trendenser.se nowadays!

And again thanks for sharing the idea of the Oliboard!

    Hi,
Yes, it must be very addictive to create mood boards like this :) And as you said, a time robber…I know what you are talking about, because a month ago I create an account in a brazilian website called “byMK”, where you can create a tons of looks and see which brands are the clothes, accessories, etc. It looks like Polyvore site…It´s really an addiction! I will check it out Olioboard and make and account probably…It´s like paper dolls when I was a kid, and with Olioboard it will be like “decorate” the dollhouse…It´s fun :)

Olioboard is a timeSAVER for me! I love that I can do it at night-owl hours and even buy a lot of the products. It can be a great way to get my clients talking about project decisions, too! I just created my first one: http://tinyurl.com/2fcktl7
