Elli Popp Wallpaper

I was so pleased when talented surface pattern designer Katja Behre from Elli Popp wrote in to share her latest neo-romantic wallpaper collection. I couldn’t wait to receive images from her to put on decor8 and since they just arrived last night, here are about 25,000 of them for you to enjoy along with me. :)

Pretty things so rock.

In addition to all of this gorgeous wallpaper, Katja designs ceramics and fabrics as well (yeah, can you say OMG along with me?). You can see some examples of her ceramics and pillows in the images above. I happen to have a few samples of her wallpaper and let me just say that in person, it’s even more gorgeous. I’m thinking that I may order some… I was excited to learn that Katja is German and her hometown is Hannover, where I live!

Psst: If you are in London next month, visit Katja at 100% Design, Stand C54 from the 23rd – 26th September in London@Earls Court.

Even for me who has never really been into it, wallpaper has really come into its own thses last few years, love the 11th picture down, is that peole in the trees? That is another current trend at the moment, figures and people.

Hard to chose, but my favorites are the ones with the butterflies and the purple one (with the purple purse in front).

Oh, and I like the 2nd one from the top (with a frame) too!!!

Makes me reconsider my feelings on wallpaper:).

I wanted to mention, Holly, that I used Cole & Son’s Cow Parsley in yellow in my living room and I absolutely LOVE it! I know from previous posts that you loved it as well – are you going to be using it in your new home? :)

@Redlilocks – I was JUST thinking about this tonight, it’s funny you mention it actually! I am not sure, I’m trying to decide where and then the question is, do I have enough of it. I purchased 4 rolls so I think I could do the hallway… I am going to move into the house first and see how the light is and after a few weeks I’ll know more I think. Do you have any photos of it up in your house?

Sooo pretty! Sigh! My favourite is Esmeralda’s Reverie and I can’t decide which of the two colourways shown here I like better! I’m fascinated by the fact that these retro-style flowers also look a lot like jellyfish. Or is that just me? Anyway, thanks for the thousands of pics!

@decor8 – It’s in my living room but I’m still working on the room so all hasn’t been revealed yet on my blog ;) However, you can see the wallpaper here:

    http://gettingitswoonworthy.blogspot.com/2010/08/living-room-la-vida-loca-part-dos.html

The colour is just beautiful how it changes with the light – sometimes it looks a very soft maize, other times a pale yellow. I would think 4 rolls should be plenty for a hallway. Find a wallpaper calculator online and you’ll be able to figure out if you have enough. I think the drop is quite large (70cm I think?) but I did that wall with 2 rolls and had plenty spare.
