Shopgirl Visits: Miljo Shop
I have a beautiful, inspiring shop tour to share with you today shot by Australian photographer Jillian Leiboff who loves to shoot stores and very often, she’ll send them to me to publish on decor8 which I simply adore. Australia is the second spot on this planet that fascinates me the most outside of Japan and so I’m always keen on seeing what’s going on down under…
I love Jillian’s shop tours, her work is strong and clear, and her eye is sharp for details — light, texture, the little things… nothing goes unnoticed by her trained eye. Together you and I can stroll down to Bondi and pretend we’re on an Aussie adventure together, okay? The store is called Miljo and is filled with Scandinavian good that will have your pulse racing if clean, organic, modern, minimalistic and natural excite you. This is such a gorgeous collection of images, I just know that you’ll love seeing this terrific store.
“miljö is a highly edited Scandinavian design store with many products exclusive to miljö in Australia. We represent some of the best designs and designers Sweden, Scandanavia and Australia have to offer. miljö is a sister store to funkis swedish forms. Our main focus is on lighting, tableware, fabrics and wallpaper. There is also a large variety of other lifestyle products such as clothing, bags, clogs, hand crafted brushware, jewellery and furniture.”
This shop is so serene, stylish, designed to be so calming… a real oasis. I imagine bringing some of these things into the home, particularly the bathroom where I like things quite spa-like, would make for a lovely retreat. I love the Le Klint lighting! This shop has plenty of wood, so it feels so serene and comfortable! The shop is very inspiring and the tour showcased everything in a perfect way! xxx

Thanks for sharing all this beautiful images. Such a great mix of design, materials, colors/neutrals. I can see a lot of this in my home.

Wow, what a beautiful space. I’ve always been drawn to Australia as well. I was lucky enough to get there 10 years ago, and I’ve always wanted to go back (to visit stores like these!) Those clogs are gorgeous. Love the ones in the last pic–I’ve already bookmarked their site!

I can see really nice things that could be used while doing the interiors for your home and making your home into a designer home. Nice light colors used for all the things present in the shop, soothes your eyes and looks good in any kind of decor.

I got a chance to see this store in person when we visited Australia last year!!! It’s absolutely beautiful – I wanted to buy everything (of course I couldn’t or I would’ve needed extra luggage!) Bondi Beach was one of our fave places we visited – so cool and laid back. Sigh…we want to go back!

I love the shop. You can tell straight away that its Scandinvavian. Their sense of style and design is just something else. I just love their clothes (wicked clogs) and products that they are selling. Great photos by Jillian

this is one of my fave shops too! I live in sydney and it’s on the bizarre corner with nothing else around it so I’m always happy to see it’s still there and pop in to have a browse!!
