Attia

Attia, or natural beauty, is an Australian homewares company that carries many beautiful pieces that are chic and inspired by nature. The company was founded by former stylist turned designer Rachel Brown who proves through her collection that “warm” minimalism does indeed exist popular to contrary belief that minimalistic design is usually sterile and cold. With organic shapes, natural wood and a variety of texture it’s easy to warm up a spare environment.

About her company Rachel says, “We value products that are energized by the makers touch, things with soul and love the patina that time and use leave behind.”

With a focus on muted tones, wood and natural finishes (for instance products have a matte finish versus gloss), this calm collection is the perfect marriage of form and function. So lovely!

Ha! I had a post ready to go for Attia as soon as I took my own pics of that gorgeous oval board I snapped up recently. Mind reader!!! Rachel’s products are even more beautiful in person; I’m going back for some wooden spoons and matte-black plates. love! x

I like the matt finish over a gloss finish. I don’t know why, I guess I find it more tactile to touch.

I love the tone of the wood! The picture with it in contrast against the black background is beautiful, and I love that it’s not glossy wood. Thanks for sharing! I’d love to know who the prop stylist was for these shots- gorgeous.

This is wonderfully sublime. The mug and saucer in the third picture is especially well done.

Also curious whether they’re available online anywhere.

I love the gorgeous look of natural wood grain. It brings something to a home or table that you just can’t get any other way. Gosh, just looking at these makes me feel grounded, connected to the earth and things that are real, and peaceful.
