How about a little interior inspiration today? I sometimes like to pull some images that get my creative juices flowing and just stare at them — I like to pick out all of the details, wonder what inspired the person to arrange things a certain way, and then I think of how I would edit it if it were my own home, etc. Do you do this too? I found some images mostly from Emma that inspire me and since I don’t intend to steal her thunder please click over to visit her blog. She has curated some gorgeous images over the past few weeks and as I was catching up on all of my blog reading this morning I collected some that stood out the most. A few I found myself by clicking around on some of her links…
A kitchen photographed by Swedish photographer Per Gunnarsson.
A yummy bedroom styled by Susanna Vento.
A sweet spot for sun and warmth from the stove… Via Hus & Hem.
Living/inspiration nook from A Beautiful Living. I especially like the I Love You poster in many languages. Lovely.
Art and a pretty shelf from Hus & Hem.
Inspiring mood board from Ina & Matt in the Netherlands.
Lovely, lovely! From Hus & Hem.
I’ve been loving gold accents lately so I found a vintage gold teapot, creamer and sugar bowl to add to my growing collection of gold and gold-rimmed things. :) My love for gold is precisely why this room caught my eye. I also love the frames. This photo is from Hus & Hem.
Are their any rooms above that catch your eye? Why? What do you like about them?

Tara at INK + WIT recently launched so many sweet new things in her collection that I simply must share them briefly with you. Stamps sets, tea towels, posters… it’s all uniquely Tara and I think they would make such grand gift ideas, don’t you?
The mobile is very nice – for adults or children – and the rubber stamps can lead to many fun and inspiring craft projects, can’t they? Do you use rubber stamps and if so, what for?
Psst: Tara shared some of her favorite things on decor8 last September, if you missed that post here you go! (images: ink + wit)
I promise! Just because I said that I want to start planning a family next year does not mean that every post on decor8 is going to turn ga-ga-goo-goo on you! But I can’t resist sharing these photos from a baby shower that Kathleen Kennelly Ullman from Twig & Thistle recently planned for her sister Allison because it’s just too cute. I especially love how the nesting dolls were customized to look like the family — the daddy nesting doll with the beard had me cracking up the moment I saw it!
Some design details that Kathleen has shared on her blog for you to walk away with…
1. She bought nesting dolls in the raw for $10 from Amazon and hand painted them to resemble her sister, husband and baby boy on the way and used them as a cake topper. 2. Each seat at the table had a crossword puzzle based on Allison and Ryan and words related to pregnancy and parenthood. The game helped guests to mingle and have fun. 3. To add a bit of whimsy to the table she found retro gray and white striped straws for the glassware. 4. For favors, she made fabric envelopes inspired by ones that Rebecca Thuss made shown here. Inside she put shortbread cookies and sealed them with a diaper pin. 5. She letterpressed the lovely invites herself!
Isn’t this the most adorable, yet simple, shower idea? I love it. Less is more!
