Enter To Win: Anthropologie Pop Up Crafting Class in Berlin!

Hello everyone! I’m so excited to share a fun contest though I realize that few can enter because it’s for an event taking place in Berlin this Friday! BUT, if you happen to live nearby and want to take part, please read on… To celebrate Anthropologie’s new GERMAN website (they now ship free to Germany if you spend 75 € or more), they will present a special Anthropologie pop up cafe at the lovely Barcomi’s Cafe in Berlin for ONE WEEK ONLY from November 23 – 28th. How cool is THAT, Germany!?

ENTER TO WIN!

As part of this very special event, I have been invited to teach a gift wrapping class on November 25th (Yes, THIS Friday!) in their pop up space at Barcomi’s Cafe from 4:00-6:00 p.m. and I can’t wait! All are allowed to visit (of course) and hang out with us but only 8 will have a seat in my crafty corner while I teach you one-on-one how to wrap your presents with personality using found papers, ribbons, rubber stamps, masking tape and other crafty things. I’ll bring the supplies, and you can take the things that you make home with you, too. Along with my special two hour class, we’ll chat over homemade Barcomi’s cakes and coffee (or tea) and each of my 8 special winners will receive a 25 € gift card to shop Anthropologie online. How fun is that!?

If you’d like to join us, please enter by:

1.) LIKING Anthropologie Deutschland on Facebook

then…

2.) Sign up for their newsletter and finally…

3.) Leave a comment below with your name (first/last) and why you’d like to take my class. It’s that simple!

I’ll draw the winning names on WEDNESDAY, NOVEMBER 23 and you will be contacted by email on Wednesday IF YOU HAVE WON. Please only ENTER IF YOU CAN ATTEND THE CLASS otherwise this special contest and offer is not valid and will be awarded to another person.

I can’t wait to see you on Friday – remember ENTER TODAY!

    Hi Holly,

I would just love to participate because I love to give gifts and they are especially wonderful when wrapped in a special way too. Furthermore, Anthropologie is the decoration inspiration for my Christmas decoration this year :-)

    Thanks,

    Hello Holly,

after I’ve been to your lovely event at Soho House I am hooked on blogger events and would love to see a few friends again. Furthermore Anthropologie has been my favourite favourite favourite store since I first went to US in 2007. I would love to see what they are doing for Christmas (and I still need inspiration!)

A contest for Berlin? Count me in!!

I’d be so grateful to learn new ideas for gift wrapping from you because 1) I’m in a bit of a wrapping rut his year, and 2) I know you’ll have some pretty, creative, and price-worthy suggestions!

For years, I thought gift-wrapping was my forte, but I’ve been told otherwise. I need help, and I love Barcomi’s!

My name is Lola. I am from Colombia and live in Berlin. I was at your SOHO party and finally met you, even shaked your hand. it was amazing finally to see someone in person who’s blog I was following for quite a time. I would love to go to Anthropologie pop up cafe and have the opportunity to learn something new with you again.

    I will cross my finger.

I would love to hear Holly speak again. She was so full of inspiration at her book signing and I was fascinated by her motivation and courage to change things.
I love giving presents to friends and family and I never run out of ideas. So far the presents itself were creative and thoughtfull, but now I want the outside to look as nice as the inside. I always look for new ideas and enjoy meeting new people who share the same interest in decoration and beautiful things as I do. Therefore I would love to be among the chosen ones and see Holly again.

I hope I see you guys soon!

    Dear Holly,

I´d love to attend your class simply because I´d so much appreciate some time just for myself (together with other inspiring women) so shortly before Christmas.

With many orders waiting, I am working so many hours every day that a creative break with delicious cake and tea would be highly appreciated (and is needed). It was so much fun to chat with you at the bloggers meet-up at Soho house, and I´d be delighted to meet you at Barcomi´s!

    Sunny greetings, Juliane

This sounds like a wild good time – Barcomi’s, tricks of the gift-wrap trade, and what I am sure will be outstanding company!

Hi, I would love to win because I’m excited Anthropologie is shipping to Germany, and would love to make some crafts and eat cake with you! I’m moving soon and have loved looking at this blog to get decorating ideas.

    Holly, this sounds so fantastic!

Because the best thing you can do in this cold, dark, anyhow so wonderful season is to spend time with lovely people in a lovely cafe.

Oh, I love wintertime and wintertime-decorating.
(Now we only need some snow and it would be perfect.)

All the best for you, Maren

    Hi Holly!

I would also love to participate! My reasons are fourfold (which, thinking of it, is really the extent of my gift wrapping skills).

    1. I love Decor8… and I was so sad that I couldn’t attend the book-signing.
    2. I love Anthropologie… ever since living in Boston, I’ve been an addict.
    3. I love Barcomi’s… who wouldn’t with such pretty cakes?
    4. I love Christmas… and I wish that my gift wrapping skills were up to par with my enthusiasm!

  15. 15 Laura commented:

    Hi Holly,
firstly I find you very inspiring, so hanging out a whole afternoon sounds like a lot of fun to me. Also I’m loving giving presents and am quite known for my thoughtful gifts. The only thing I haven’t mastered yet is the actual wrapping. Which I need to change this year and hope you can help me with that.

    Hello Holly,

oh my goodness – I would LOVE to attend your class! I do not live in Berlin. But I would gladly spend some time on the train to come and see you! :-)

Actually there are several reasons why I would love to attend. First of all I would so love to meet you in person! Sounds tacky I guess but I have read about you and met you on facebook and twitter and your blog … and read about you … you kinda seem to be everywhere. :-) I think it would be amazing to meet you in person and have a chat with you!

Of course I also would love to see what you have to show us about gift wrapping. I love giving gifts – and I love wrapping. But to be honest … usually the wrapping part does get way too little attention cause I usually end up running out of time. So I could learn some new moves ;-) to make my presents special this year.
And I would love to do some crafting in a group for a change. As I do not really have crafty friends in “real life” (as opposed to blog life) this would be something new to me. :-)

Also – I hope you do not mind me saying this – but when I read that it is in Barcomi’s it made me even more excited. As I said I do not live in Berlin so eversince I have read about Cynthia and the deli and her books (which was a long time ago) I wanted to visit but never got to do it. I finally could go there AND try her amazing cakes, muffins, cupcakes …. I lived in the US for a year quite some time ago and I love all their sweets. It actually made me start baking as back then it was really hard to buy muffins and cupcakes and cookies here. (At least there were no good ones.)

And I would love to see some Anthropologie stuff as well. :-) Who would not?

Oh … and to be honest lastly I would really love to talk a bit in English! Please do not laugh. But I lived in the US, Australia, Great Britain … but now with the kids I do not even get to travel anymore … so I simply miss it!

I did of course like the facebook page and signed up for the newsletter – which I am actually quite excited about. Now off to check out the Anthropologie page. :-)

    Have a lovely evening

Barcomi’s, you, Anthropologie and gift wrapping – all in one place at the same time! I would die for.

I LOVE gift wrapping so much that I once even refused to unwrapped a gift from a friend which she adorned elaborately in a origami style for me with old Notenpapier – sheet music.

    Dear Holly,

I’d love to become part of this special event! Why? I’l be painfully frank:

1st: I’m really bad in wrapping. Sad but true: still using the techniques we learned at school (shame on me!)
2nd: I have never been to the Barcomi’s Cafe, although I’m based in Berlin and it seems it’s absolutely the place to be! (shame on me for the 2nd time!)
3rd: I don’t want to be ashamed anymore and work on the two mentioned sources of shame. The event seems to be a perfect match for me! :-)

I’d be very happy to be there and learn from you!

    Cheers

    Hi Holly!!!
What a wonderful event is going to be!! I’ll be there either I win an invitation or not. But it would be very nice to participate in this workshop.
I just moved to Berlin and sending x-mas presents this year will have a very different meaning to me. So beautifully wrapped gifts will make them even more special.

    Hello Holly,
Oh dear, I hope it’s not too late to enter…
I always think of gift wrapping as being a gift itself, like a magic combo. And, although I do enjoy the process, nothing makes me happier than the sound of the wrapping paper being torn, becoming something different, like a metamorphosis.

And even if it’s too late, I’ll still come by and pay a visit :)
    Have a lovely week!
