Hello Everyone!
Hello everyone! To those of you in the states, it’s the 4th – yeah! Have fun celebrating our day of Independence. Living abroad on the 4th is the hardest for me because I once loved how Boston came together for the gorgeous concert and fireworks on the 4th on the Charles River. I really miss going there with my friends. It’s amazing to me how close home is to my heart yet in reality, how far away I really am! How are you doing today?
I’ve gone a bit MIA, I know… Missing in action. And for that, I am truly sorry. I’ve been very busy, a bit too much, and I’ve finally wrapped up my next book. I wrote the final page yesterday and today, I am sorting out the photo credits and directory. It’s been a massive undertaking! In addition to that, I’ve been teaching nearly 700 students online in my Blogging Your Way e-course for the past 5 weeks. It’s been lovely and today is my last lesson there. I love teaching online and am so grateful that I hired three amazing women and bloggers, Jeanette, Nicole and Katrina, to stand by my side and work along with me to teach this dynamic, exciting class. Thank you ladies SO MUCH. I love the community that BYW has built and the many meet-ups BYW students are having in spots all over the world from London to San Francisco.
So… What is inspiring you lately? I am inspired by large-scale floral patterns, polka dots, vanilla nail polish sent to me from a friend in Denmark, my friend Steffi’s new business cards and blog redesign, and how beautiful the new lavender on my balcony looks and smells – it’s the simple things, right?
I miss you all, soo sooooo much. I will be regularly writing here daily next week and going forward. My online class is wrapping up, my German language course is soon to end, my lecture in Wiemar is this Saturday and my second book is finished – now I can return to you on a full-time schedule once again.
With love, Holly xo

I knew about the book, the German language course and the BYW course – I just realized fully that you have been doing all three things simultaneously… oh dear. Holly, you must be an Ûbermensch! Congratulations so much on finishing the book; I know that this is a much bigger undertaking than most people think. I hope you’ll get the chance to get some time off and enjoy summer now!

Hi Holly, congrats on all the undertakings. Plenty there to feel great about.
I’ve missed your last few BYW2 lessons because I’m out of town and I’d rather study fom my computer, not this tiny IPad screen. Can’t wait to catch up on finals when I get home.
So pleased to have signed up for round two. Wonderful course, organized, informative, colorful, fun lessons. The list of adjectives and superlatives is a mile long but you get my point.
Looking forward to BYW3 (in the works?)
Enjoy the week,
Lisa

Your energy and enthusiasm is inspiring – kudos to you! Looking forward to having you back online – lost myself in Pinterest to fill the gap. Also had a fantastic trip to the USA (am from Australia and visited family at Lake Tahoe) and happened upon your first book in a Joann store – bought as my memento of my trip, had been wanting to get for so long and seeing it the flesh just couldn’t resist. Will certainly not hesitate to get the next one – when is it due on the bookstands? Thank you so much for everything – the inspiration and support you give (unbeknownst to you), through all your wonderful channels- internet and good old fashioned hardcopy! Best wishes and I hope to get time to do your BYW course soon……… Love from Australia x

Inspiration? I’m not sure.. I think I am focusing in having an open mind. I have move to Spain, Torrevieja, and it is a tourist place, but I feel I can see so much from many places here. The buildings, the food, the nature. And I still remember the feelings I got from walking in Buen Retiro Park, in Madrid. The park is so magical, and I have only seen just a bit of it. Will be back again :) Maybe you will get inspiration from there?
Have a nice summer! :)

Wow Holly! Congratulations on finishing your last page! I’m curious about your new book… How do you manage to get it all done: your blog, books, your daily life? I’m also full of ideas and that’s why I also got a little “break” from blogging, but it wasn’t because I was out of inspiration! On the contrary: my head is full of ideas for my next project. I’m hoping to start my little cute shop online soon full with vintage gems & decoration. My inspiration lately? The South of France, my two blue pots of lavender at my front door, my blue glass mason jar, my blue bottles on my mantle piece… Blue & lavender, the leading words for my inspiration lately!
I wish I started your BYW course as well, but I was on holiday (in the Provence)… So next time you’re organizing the next BYW class, I’m definitely hopping on that train. ;-) Would love to learn new things from you guys!
Have a great week and good luck with publishing your new book!
Love, Inge x

I’m enjoying your new look on the page!! (I’m behind on reading…) It’s taking it back to basics.
Things that have been inspiring me lately? The color turquoise, my new house, the Pentatonix (an a cappella group), and a few new blogs that I’ve found (and am also way behind on reading).
I’m so excited for you and all of your adventures/opportunities. You should totally come back to the states for 4th of July next year to hit Boston again (on my to do list) – but for the past 5 years I’ve enjoyed the 4th of July in Philadelphia, and that’s pretty amazing as well :)
