NEW House Doctor Collection for Fall/Winter 2012
I love the moody elegance that House Doctor has introduced for their Fall/Winter 2012 Moments Collection. A special thank you to my friend, Tinna Pedersen from Agentur Pedersen, who is the House Doctor agent for Germany, for sending me their new catalog. It’s lovely and inspiring. I’m not quite ready to snuggle in for the winter yet, but seeing this collection already has me dreaming about that cozy feeling that I enjoy creating at home in the winter with candles, throws, and through the layering of rugs and blankets.
I was reading somewhere that copper and gold will make a come back for Fall/Winter this year. What do you think? I’m seeing hints of that already and look forward to seeing more, especially copper as I have a current crush on copper combined for neon colors and peach. Such a great and unexpected combination of colors!

Gold has been huge for such a long time already but it is still there, popping up with big impact still in the fashion world. I love the combo of white + gold.
As for copper, I have seen lots of shades in the last trend shows for furniture and decoration and it´s kind of more sophisticated right now. Specially the Italians go for it. But let´s see what we are going to find in the autumn catalogues:-)

Not many companies would make me want to think about fall in July (when I just want to be dipping my toes in water and chomping on watermelon). However, I make an exception for House Doctor. I deeply love their aesthetic and already feel a little yearning for a pumpkin muffin and an evening fire. Thanks for sharing!

Love House Doctor, but it’s hard to find a good selection here in th UK. Retailers pick the few things they like and it’s often just a few accessories. I contacted HD themelseves but they weren’t very helpful. I’m a designer and really wanted to use some of their furniture for a project, so was rather disappointed :-(

I also think gold and copper will be in this fall/winter. Especially in fashion. They are nice warm metals for the cold weather.

Wow, as you say I’m not quite ready to welcome winter just yet (still holding out for a bit of summer here in London, actually!) but that looks lovely. I’ve been digging copper/brass accents in moody, darker spaces for a while- I hope this look becomes more available, because at the moment it’s quite difficult to find good fixtures in warmer metal tones!
