Turn Your Instagram Pics Into a Book with Artifact Uprising

October 17, 2012

As an Instagram addict (I’m @decor8 if you want to follow me), I definitely see the value is going from device to paper and turning some of my images into a little book for myself. In fact, I’ve been looking into how to do that for a few weeks so when I stumbled upon Artifact Uprising (based in Denver) today on Pinterest via Cici, I was in heaven. How beautiful are these books that you can create quite simply by using your IS photos?

Oh but Holly….. it doesn’t appear to link to one’s instagram images. You would have to get the images from your phone and place them on your laptop and then upload each one. A bit laborious when other companies you’ve previously linked to allow a connection directly to all your instagram images online for easy peasy publishing. Boohoo cuz I loved the layouts:(

  • Reply Alisha October 17, 2012 at 10:16 pm

Blurb also has instagram books :) They come out really nice.

  • Reply Samantha Howe October 17, 2012 at 10:58 pm

I too made a book with my Instagram pics from Blurb – Super affordable and great quality and global shipping…I love it!

  • Reply Louisa Blackmore October 17, 2012 at 11:02 pm

Amazing find Holly, this is wonderful!

I was trying to find some way I could pull together my instagram pics in a printed form and gave up in the end.

I also remember some file type of thing you featured maybe a few months ago that people could put together themselves. The images you featured had some really sweet kids flicking through the books/files. I can’t remember what it was called though :(

Need a better memory and/or a notepad in my pocket.

These are gorgeous. I’ve been looking for a photo book service for my non-instagrammed shots as well. I took a browse around their site and discovered that they have beautiful, dust jacketed books for photos of all kinds. Awesome. Thanks for sharing this with us!

  • Reply Melissa October 18, 2012 at 11:21 pm

I love that there are more layout options than Blurb has for books that size, but kind of bummed it can’t link directly to instagram to get my photos. Still, I’m pretty sure I’m going to put a little time in and put together a pretty little book to commemorate a year in photos! :)

  • Reply how2home October 19, 2012 at 12:48 am

Love it! Such a perfect coffee table book. But is the quality good enough to fill a full page or do you have to keep the photos small?

I’m so new to Instagram that although I registered recently (@redbridgestudio), I’ve yet to take any photos. It’s interesting that we live in a digital age of instant gratification, and still want some tangible objects, in this case photobooks. Reading about Blurb and Artisan Uprising, I’ve dreamed up personal and Red Bridge photobook projects. Thanks for sharing.

This is incredible. I think I’m going to create a book in December about my 2012 experience. I love the thought of having all of my pictures in one place that I can flip through like this.
