First View: House Doctor Spring 2013

December 17, 2012

Ready to see the never-been-blogged House Doctor collection for Spring 2013? Of course you are! My dear Danish friend and neighbor, Tinna Pedersen of Agentur Pedersen in Hannover, Germany also happens to be the rep for them in Germany, Austria and Switzerland. This is why I always give decor8 readers first peeks at their latest collections – yeah, I have connections baby! :)

Anyway, let us explore the pages of their new catalog together, shall we? See if you can spot any trends for Spring! I’m seeing lovely pastel tones punctuated by their more saturated friends like emerald which is the Pantone color of the year for 2013 with shots of fleshy peach tones, mint, indigo, black, gray and loads of white with hints of copper – yum!

I just love House Doctor stuff, they are really a leader when it comes to trends in Denmark – I constantly see their collections first and then notice everyone else jumping on the same bandwagon with similar products – which shows me what a leader of the pack they really are and I love that. I think the House Doctor ladies are such an inspiration.

I’m excited for the things that springtime brings, aren’t you? I can’t wait to pick up a few of those bell jars from House Doctor and some black accessories for my home. I’m looking forward to decorating for Spring, too. I’ve decided to redecorate a few of my rooms in the Spring so I’m starting to think about my plan of action and it definitely includes changing up the colors a bit. I’m excited to start first with a mood board and build from there. I’ll show you the results in March or April.

Have a lovely day! I’ll be back in a moment with a special video we shot earlier this year in NYC of me and my friend Leslie Shewring teaching a Blogging Your Way workshop in Soho and then I’ll be wrapping up for the year since I plan to begin vacation tomorrow until January 7th. Back in a moment with that video. Loads of love! xo Holly

Oh I could live in these pictures. Love the rugs and those vases – cement, I guess, with the colored part at the bottom. I hope to see many shades of green this spring, and grey as a background. I’ll probably be moving to a new apartment soon, what a perfect excuse to do some dreaming and shopping!

I really like the bell jar looks – I looked for some last year and didn’t find what I wanted so looks like I might be on the hunt again! And why didn’t I save one of those HUGE pale green jugs my Mom used for her branch arrangements back in the 70s – since they are BACK again!!! My Mom was cool before her time!!!

Gorgeous post as always.I had a peek at the catalogue and their stuff is really great. I am currently renovating my studio, I wonder if they have a retail shop in Italy because I am looking for a carpet and theirs look perfect for what I have in mind.

    Dear Holly,

am a Spanish interior designer and an avid follower of your blog and now, if you have a couple of minutes, I would like to suggest something to look at.

I think you already know Spanish magazine Nuevo Estilo. The December issue´s front cover features my dining room and they´ve dedicated 16 pages to the rest of my apt here in Madrid, as well as presenting me as an int designer.

The article is called Luminosa Belleza (luminous beauty). I would have loved to send you one issue, but understood you might not be publicly sharing your address…!!! So now it´s finally up on their website and for you to see.

    Hope you like it!

    With kindest regards,

    Hi Holley,

I love all the little details like the patterned ice-cream cups with the scalloped edges, the mini wooden spoons (makes me want to eat porridge), and the two-toned umbrellas with the black trim. So cute!

Oh, I love House Doctor too. I really should get some information about the ladies behind it, they are the brains. Cool stuff again, I’m gonna go to their website now!

Such at clean and soothing color palette! There’s the perfect balance of cool and warm tones. I especially like the grey headboard on the bed which I think is the perfect backdrop to show off your bedding. Love the collection! I’m also a big fan of Peacock Alley’s bedding collection. They have elegant sheets that go with any decor.
