WIN: Blog Boss e-course!

I thought I’d do a FLASH giveaway because I mentioned somewhere earlier this month that when I announced my upcoming e-course, Blog Boss, that I’d include a giveaway and I want to honor that! Irene already gave away one seat on her blog (the winner was Sonia Barrigas) and I found a winner for the mini contest I ran using Pinterest for my #bloghug hashtag party (Winner is: Jeanetta Gonzales), BUT I still want to giveaway THREE more seats! SO! Here goes!

Blog Boss CONTEST

Enter to win one of three seats in the March 1-29, 2013 BLOG BOSS e-course. Enter to win by tweeting (or posting on Facebook) the following to help me spread the word, “Have You Heard About the new Blog Boss e-course!? http://decor8eclasses #blogboss”.

AND COMMENT below with a reason why you think BLOG BOSS would help you and your blog.

That’s it! If you do both of those things then you are officially entered and I’ll randomly choose a winner on February 25 (at noon GMT+1 time) and the THREE winners will be announced on decor8 on the same day. The winners will be notified by email. If you cannot take the class, you are not allowed to sell your spot or give it to another else outside of your family, so please do not register to win if you can’t take the class. These winning seats are ONLY for Blog Boss and cannot be transferred to future e-courses.

NOTE: If you’ve already registered and paid for Blog Boss, you will be reimbursed your tuition if you win this contest.

GOOD LUCK!

I have so much to learn — there are MANY reasons Blog Boss would help me; not just one! Among them are developing fresh ideas and better habits for working from home, and the importance of planning. I’m sure I would also greatly benefit from the case studies. I’m new-ish to blogging, but really enjoy it, and I’d like to do it well and do it right!

I’ve been waiting for months to register for this course, but recently my husband and I experience some financial changes, so there just isn’t room in the budget. As a new blogger I’d really love the encouragement and chance to connect with other bloggers. I’ve heard really great things about your past courses! If I don’t win this time, I’ll definitely take one in the future :)

    Dear Holly,

BLOG BOSS would give me the perfect opportunity to upgrade my little blog to another level: more mature design, better readability, easier handling – I started the blog a year ago and didn’t really know how to blog nor to design a lovely layout around my content – and I still don’t.

I started writing about my life as a student in the beautiful city of Hamburg a year ago and loved it. Now that I moved to Braunschweig, I want to give it a new twist, a new look and fresher content.

Your blog gives me so much inspiration! My mind is full of great ideas how to recreate my blog, but I’m lacking technical knowledge and ways to implement my ideas. I feel like this e-course could be my chance to close these knowledge-gaps and improve, improve, improve! :)

My blog is in the snooze-mode for a while now – and it even hasn´t really started before. I think my main problem is the time – there are many things I´d like to join, but I don´t really know how to manage it…maybe the keyword is “organization”!? ;) At the same time my blog needs a refreshing – a new and personal style. I´m kinda blocked about this and I´d reeeaally LOVE to get some fresh input from the very top. So I hope that there´s a little chance for me so that I can learn from you and your wonderful co-authors.
    Sending you the warmest wishes

PS: Oh, and I forgot: some tips on how I could use the blog for my little business would also be enriching for me!

I’ve been maintaining a personal blog for the past seven years and blogging for a popular beauty website for five, but although I’m an early adopter with good technical skills I feel like my content has stagnated of late.

I think Blog Boss would help me freshen my ideas for and implementation of content, as well as be a better editor. I’m interested in critiquing and improving my blog design and content without being self-critical, something I currently find difficult! I’d hope that Blog Boss would also give me the confidence to implement some of my ideas around collaborations and meet-ups – I’m much too eager to stay in my comfort zone and hide behind the monitor.

Thanks for the giveaway, it’s a lovely idea :)

I’d like to incorporate the two ideas of design and family into my blog, and I hope that Blogboss will help show me how to do this!

Hi Holly, I love the synchronicity of reading about your generous giveaway concerning your upcoming Blog Boss e-class as I have been literally looking for such a course for a few months now and have loved your blogged for a long time. I am an Intuitive Counselor and Feng Shui Designer with a distinctively modern design orientation. I am also a mother to two young children and I am definitely in need of some guidance on how to create a blog that truly inspires, reflects the work that I do and can become a business of its own. I have been fascinated by how amazingly creative people like you and Oh Joy! have turned their passion into a successful business that has many branches of creative and entrepreneurial collaboration. While I feel my Pinterest page reflects me, I do not feel that my blog does as of yet. Between my work with clients and time with my children I don’t have a lot of time to sort through all the information out there on how to truly create the blog that I envision and would be so honored and blessed to learn from the masters of this field as I know that with these tools I could create a blog that truly supports and inspires others as well as nourishes me creatively and grows my business authentically. I would be most grateful to win a spot in your amazing e-course. With gratitude, Elana Kilkenny

Since then I’ve been able to use my blog as a platform to launch the beginnings of a freelance writing career. But somehow along the way, as I have gotten busier and busier working for others (which is GREAT, I am not complaining!) I’ve been letting my blog languish a bit. I feel SO ready to take my blog to the next level as a business and kick some butt – and I know you are just the lady to inspire me to make that happen! xoxo Laura

Blogboss is exactly the right level for bloggers like me who have been at it religiously for years. We’ve got through the initial set up and making posting a regular thing. My blog is two years old and is doing really well (I think? How do you really know if you are doing well? Stats? Commentators? Hits per month? – I’m going with that as that’s my highest!)

But what now? What’s the next step?

I’m not sure how to get to the next level. I know that it’s no good saying that you need to go and do x,y,z. You have to actually go and do it. All I know is I have the determination and the enthusiasm to make it bigger and better in 2013 and BlogBoss will answer all the questions for the next step. Onwards and upwards I say.

I’ve been following along with your courses for a long time, and saw this new one pop up – and SO want to take it! I have been blogging for almost 3 years now for my main blog, but will be launching a new (design/diy) blog soon – so, I want to learn how to take blogging to the next level. The course outline makes me think that this course is just what I need! I would be signing up, but don’t have the extra money and won’t for a few months. I hope you’ll offer this again in the fall (I’ll save up!) if I don’t win, that is! :)

I would love to win the course, I started my blog one year ago and I love blogging but I haven’t found my way yet. I feel kind of lost right now after quitting my medical study because I was so unhappy without creativity in my life and now, one year later, I do have an adorable daughter and a loving boyfriend but I still have this feeling that there has to be more in life for me. And I have so many ideas and plans, I just need some help to realize them and to organize myself. And I guess the e-course “Blog Boss” could be that much needed help for me.

    Hello!

I’d absolutely love to take part in Blog Boss! At the beginning of this year my boyfriend and I began looking for our first home together, and decided to blog our little interior adventure as we’re both really into interiors (there are definitely pros and cons to this… :) haha!) and thought it’d be great to share the inspiration we find along the way as there really are so many great sources of inspiration and beautiful products out there.

Since starting the blog, which we do part-time, i’ve found something i really really enjoy doing – from discussing trends with others on twitter and blog posts, reading other people’s inspiration (and noseying into their homes too of course!), and learning more each day about everything from antique furniture to crafts!

As young as the blog is, i’ve discovered a new passion and I’d now like to to learn how i can develop my own style within the blog, plan better within the times i have and discover the potential!

Some great feedback on the other courses – so sounds like an excellent course with some really inspiring teachers!

    Best of luck everyone!

I love the basic opportunities of having a blog and reflecting yourself the way I want. I’d keep on blogging even if I had one reader forever, but it would be great to have some guidance on how to properly transmit everything you need to others and how to have the chance to network with creative people like yourself. Sometimes being creative means you have 10 ideas you tag as super duper great in your head, but the next days they fade of because you can’t do everything by yourself and within the time you like. It would be great to participate in your e-course Holly :)

I started blogging at a time when I felt work was consuming most of my life and I was in dire need of a creative outlet. I was losing touch with the simple in things in life that used to make me happy.

My blog now serves as a chronicles of the things that give me inspiration and make me happy– most of those things DIY projects. I feel however, that there is so much more to learn in terms of improving my blog and how I present the things I blog about and more importantly, how I could inspire other people to appreciate the little things in life through my blog.

I just started a decoratingr business in my African country and one of my marketing strategies is to set up a blog both to create an awareness for the decorating industry as well as increase sales and services for the array of brands I would be selling. Even though the blogging business has become very popular, it is obvious that a lot of bloggers would rather not take a risk and so everybody seem to be blogging on what I would call a “Safe Perimeter” and rather not be distinct nor different. I want to have a first hand knowledge of the Blogging business and use the blog to promote my business in a fresh and creative way that would generate interest and increase my business bottom line. This E-Course is for me.

I was hoping that being let go would give me this super great opportunity to do something *I* wanted to do in live – to create something that was just mine, and that I could put my whole heart into. Unfortunately, the need to pay bills came first, and I’ve spent 5 months trying to find work instead of delving into my own business. I have wanted to start a blog for YEARS, but something stops me. I just feel so intimidated! I just feel so BEHIND – everyone seems to be in the know except me. I don’t know where to start, and while I do know how to get a blog up and going, I want to learn how to take it to the next level, making ME the BOSS of my own career, my own life. I would desperately love to win a seat because not only do I need the guidance and have the desire to learn, but winning a seat would also save me $129, which right now is a lot of money to me and my (still) unemployed state! Thank you so much for the chance to win!

Getting a seat in Blog Boss will open a new perspective on how to tackle this technological advancing world. Since disovering blogs last summer, I’ve explored all kinds of blogs and examined all their different ways of approach in sharing info with the world, but keeping it true to themselves. It is all very inspiring. I’ve been stuck on a name for mine, but I think I almost have it done. With a seat with Blog Boss it will help affirm some decisions in this blooming world.

I currently do a lot of thrifty crafting, and love making things from any material. I sew, knit, crochet, quilt, DIY and I currently have a penchant for organising with cereal boxes! I’m also on a journey to a simpler life and write about decluttering and the various challenges related to that. I am leaving my day job in 3 months and am going to try and promote my illustration work more with my blog, website and social media. Learning and connecting with such inspiring people would be helpful and positive.

    Hello Holly,

I’m sure your head is swimming from reading all these awesome entries by now so I’ll try to keep my entry short and sweet.

My blog Violently Happy is 5 years old. I cover everything from motherhood, home design, shopping, film/music and food, you know most of the junk millions of bloggers cover. My blog is like that nerdy girl who always has her hair in a ponytail and wears thick glasses. She needs a mini makeover by the popular girls in school badly. She’s never kissed a guy and desperately wants to go prom. She’s really sweet and funny and has a rad sense of style but no one notices her at the school dance because she seems like a wallflower. She’s totally a bad ass underneath it all.

I’d love the opportunity to learn how to sharpen my content skills, network with amazing people and pick up some tech stuff to align my wonky photos. I hope you pick Violently Happy, she’s tired of spending her Friday nights at home. Plus my birthday is in March so that would be stellar!

    Take Care,

Since a short while I have started my blog, Broesj. It started out as a overall nice blog with EVERYTHING I liked, I did, visited et cetera. I knew that was too much. Now I’m trying to focus more on writing about brooches. Since I also have a vintage brooch shop. And i just love all the stories behind those pins.

But what language should I write…. Enligsh? Dutch? Both? Is writing about brooches not to narrow to have as a niche? Well – so much to learn. I would love to have a seat in the course!

I would be more than thrilled to win a spot on your Blog Boss course. Being a blogging newbie, as my blog is little over a month old, I know I have a lot to learn. The number of readers has been rising steadily – readers continue to return and I add new readers daily. My friends who have seen my “share” posts on Facebook have commented on how much they enjoy reading what I have to write, and I have no shortage of things to write about, posting on average about 4 times a week while maintaining a full time job (and my posts are pretty meaty). I will be making the transition from fashion design to interior design in 2 weeks and will be able to spend more time on my blog then, but I would like to take my blog to the next level and I am hoping that your course will help me do so. I know there is a LOT to learn – the more knowledge I have, the better for me… and my readers! Cheers to you and all that you have done for the blogging community!

I need to figure out what I need to do to take this business to the next level and hopefully find inspiration and my voice in the process. Would also love to one day leave my day job behind and do the things I truly love!

I would love to win a seat on BLOG boss……

I recently developed my blog and website and this class would assist me in learning the nuts and bolts of blogging. Additionally, I want to learn to blog the right way the first time around. I am confident this class would lead in the right direction on utilizing my creativity and creating my own identity on the blogsphere.

I am a web designer and this year resolution is to become more Independent by creating my own design (not just web…) blog. I’m a blogaholic for years now and made some attempts at blogging on fashion and interior design and I feel that this year is my time to shine and push forward.
this course will give me the tools and the inspiration to become a professional blogger on my road to doing what I love best as a career.

would love the chance to benefit from your experience and knowledge at your course!

    Thanks!

At 33 I wrote a blog for several years about life after cancer and a bone marrow transplant. It was an open truthful account of my life filled with love, opportunity and inspiration. I wanted to give others who were young with cancer, hope. The blog was very successful but now I want to move away from my survivor-hood and get back to the real me.

I’m an artist & designer. I recently worked for a year designing artwork to be printed on fashion and home linens out of Victoria B.C. Canada (Vancouver Island). I would like to start a business sharing tips of the industry as well as promoting my design work. I want to use my social media skills to get internet shy artists online. We have such a plethora of skilled artists whom could benefit greatly from an online presence.

I would be overjoyed if I could gain a space for the course. ?
