Cloud9 Fabrics: Koi
Do you love fabric as much as I do? I’m really liking Rashida Coleman-Hale’s latest designs for Cloud9 Fabrics which share her vision of Japanese Koi ponds that are floral, festive, geometric and fun! They would look gorgeous paired with patterns from the collections of other designers for a little mix and match fun. I love her modern interpretation of traditional Japanese motifs and the colorways are gorgeous and feel very current. Here are some of my favorites below.
I really like Ebb & Flow, Pennants Waving (in white) and Smile & Wave (in all colors). I’d love to use them for my sewing and gift wrapping projects but imagine using them for children’s clothing, quilt-making and even stool covers or seat cushions too.
What do you think?

What a great color palette- I love that fushia, aqua, and olive green combo. It reminds me of my favorite cosmetics bag: https://www.etsy.com/listing/104862796/zipper-pouch-in-water-lily-aqua-purple
I think that the colors are perfect for spring- bright and light, but still sophisticated.

Oh I do love fabric! When I was a like 14 or 15, I would borrow those pattern books from interior design or fabric stores to take them home over night, so I could look at all those fabulous fabrics the whole day… So yes, you could say, I really do love fabric!

I love fabric! I just told my mother the other day on the phone, that I would get into her stash of fabric all the time. She had a rather large stash of fabric for sewing projects that she did not have time for. So, I would rad it from time to time. She say’s she had no idea that I would do that.
