Home Tour: Natural Style in a Small Swedish Apartment

March 3, 2015

This apartment is for sale in Gothenburg, Sweden and is definitely decorated and styled in a way that makes my heart smile. I simply love it, especially the artwork above the sofa and all of the little elements that give the space such a feeling of comfort and home. Isn’t this such a welcoming little city oasis?

We will take a road trip to Sweden in April with our 1-year-old boy, we’re driving up to Denmark and then over to Malmo and then, up the west coast of Sweden, and I’m really looking forward to the time away to clear my mind and take a lot of photos. I long to breathe in the ocean air and experience Swedish life and culture once again. I can’t wait to travel with my precious little son.

Until we pack up the car and put the email out-of-office reply on, I can simply look at this space and feel like I’ve already arrived. Ahhh.

How much is it Holly? Just wondering what it translates in to USD – it is a gem!

Mmmm. I cannot stop staring at that comfy looking corner bed, and the couch with the blanket draped over it. I want to try that on our couch, but I have a feeling that instead of “comfy, fresh and inviting”, it’ll look more like “dirty college couch hidden with a blanket” … I’m gonna try it though! Fingers crossed!

This is an absolutely lovely apartment – I love the light and grey colour palette.

I could never, ever live in this apartment because I know I would not want to do anything but stay in that bed and read. It looks SO relaxing!

White is really so again extremely modern. I’m just refurnish my house and I do it just like you here to see the pictures. Here in Germany means more country house style and is becoming more fashionable . Even I have my cabinets sanded and painted white but only once so it just looks a little old .Liebe Grüe from Germany

So gorgeous! I moved from Sweden to the US in 1991 and although I am very happy here, I miss a lot of things about Sweden – the minimalist white apartments being one of them!

I really like the wall gallery in this apartment, just gorgeous! I’m sure all 3 of you will have a blast in Sweden! :) Kind of jealous, I love road trips! :P

I do like this style from a-far but not sure if I could live in such a space – its all a little bit too greige for me…
I don’t like loud colours in my home but I guess the light in Scandanavian countries really suit this style of home decor…the sunlight in Sydney, Australia seems to crave some solid colours in the home!

This is so gorgeous. I could totally live there. Can’t wait to follow your journey in Sweden. Going there to celebrate a big birthday next year.

I love the styling, especially the knitted foot stool and fluffy rug. I’m not sure I could live in a place so white, but it would be wonderfully relaxing for a break…

Wow, it all looks amazing! I love Scandinavian style sooo much! Actually, most of my furniture is very simple, but lots of vintage and decorations – I am obsessed with that! My son’s bedroom looks similar to the one on the picture (with a corner bed) or the one here. We made it together with my husband, there are many things you can create by yourself with the Scandinavian look since it is very simple style and easy to get.
    Cheers,
    Kris
