Mud Australia, founded by Shelley Simpson in 1994, transforms coveted French limoges clay into stylish modern tableware and accessories. All Mud pieces are designed by Shelley with an emphasis on strength, simplicity and functionality, hand-made from natural and non-toxic products. Their porcelin line is available in yummy colors that attract me, like the watermelon, ocean, tangerine, and pistachio. These photos show their more classic line with a natural element in subdued earth tones. The interiors are glazed, while the exteriors have a soft, unfinished surface, which I find very appealing. Both dishwasher and microwave safe, Mud is great for everyday use. Very sleek and sophisticated, timeless and stylish. All design and production takes place in their studio in lovely Sydney.
