Sharing Chair - Mieke Meijer

"Sharing Chair" from Mieke Meijer.

Mieke sees a trend in the Netherlands - people are becoming more and more self-centered. She hopes that this chair, if used in public places, could lead to change, helping people see that sharing is a good thing.

"It's a challenge to design mature products that make people realize that sharing them is a fun thing" Mieke says. Because this is a rocking chair and is a bit unstable, it's the perfect chair for a waiting room because it "makes people aware of each other and forces them to start a conversation", Mieke adds.
