I’m really enjoying artist Margaux Williamson lately, her new works appeal to me on so many levels. Despite being so young (I think she is 29 or 30 now), her works show real depth and maturity, and although quite melancholic, there’s a glimmer of hope in each of her captivating stories on canvas. To me, they hold a lot of mystery, almost a feeling of being trapped at first, but upon careful inspection, the story each tells seems to contain a secret, enlightment perhaps, as if finding the the key to free yourself is entirely up to you. Much like life itself, isn’t it?
Today I am inspired by Margaux. What about you? What have you seen lately that inspires you?

I really like this silkscreened poster from Limescreen, the clean graphics, very few colors, it has a great seasonal look to it, don’t you think? And for $23, I think it would look really great if you have it framed and then mix it into the art in your home for fresh modern twist. Each poster is signed and numbered by the artist, Maarit from Finland. Only 3 left in stock, hurry!

Cha-ching! I just purchased “The Sound of a Teapot”, a signed and numbered (limited edition of 50) digital print for onluy $22 from sweet Camilla Engman. I hope you can pick up a print for yourself to – but don’t take too long to think it over because Camilla’s prints sell out rather quickly. I plan to have mine framed and then, mix it in to the “gallery wall” I’m hoping to tackle next month. It’s a mini project that I’ve been thinking about a lot lately since I’ve finally built a nice little collection of works that I want to display together.
In fact, I’m thinking of many mini winter projects that I want to tackle this season. What about you? Any home DIY projects that you’d like to get started on? I’m in the mood for change and winter is the perfect time to get started on home projects, whether it be decorating, organization, deep cleaning, mending what is broken, sewing something new, all are perfect cold weather activities to chase away the blues, build self-esteem, stay active, and give you deep inner satisfaction that you have things under control on the homefront.
