Meesters & Van der Park (Netherlands)

Ooooo. Look what Irene, aka Bloesem, posted on her blog today. Images of works from Dutch designers Meesters & Van der Park, or Jo Meesters and Marije van der Park.

I first heard about them at Dutch Design Week in Eindhoven this past October, an amazing event that I attended with my partner in crime, Danielle from the Style Files. I went there to pull together images and a article for Domino magazine, which posted on their website last year, and to meet Danielle in person for the first time after being a penpal for quite some time. Anyway, if you have a moment today, flip through the Meesters & Van der Park portfolio. Innovative, extremely unique, and intelligent design in every way, shape, and form!

If you’re looking for their work, contact the Future Perfect in NY, or if you find yourself in the Netherlands anytime soon, click here for a list of retail shops. I’m so happy that Bloesem reminded me of them, Thanks Irene! I love having Bloesem and the Style Files to refer to, these Dutch girls always find the best stuff, I am forever amazed by both of these bloggers!

Circa Ceramics + Free Shipping (for decor8 readers)

Andy and Nancy at Circa Ceramics in Chicago are some of the most genuine people, and of course, they are Etsy sellers. From my experience with Etsy, I’ve only dealt with wonderful sellers, which further lures me in to search for more fabulous people to shop from. Between Flickr and Etsy, and all those blogs over there on my blogroll, I could pretty much burn an entire day online. Relate?

Circa is doing this fun “Cup a Day” promotion where they post a tea or coffee-related item to their Etsy store daily throughout the month of February (starting today). Circa also sells terrific ceramic tags, I have 4 (two I gave away), and think they’re the best. You can string them on ribbon, nail to the wall as mini works of art, affix to a package, so many uses and they’re all very charming. Here’s a few things from Circa that I found today that I like…

Oh, and if you purchase from them and mention “decor8″ upon checkout, they won’t charge you a shipping fee. Sweet! A big thanks to Nancy for that one. You can also view additional works on their website.

Speaking of sweet, the fabulous Poppy started a new feature, a daily Etsy find which is in the left column of her blog. Poppy, you rock girl!
