I’m so glad that Alison designed a midwest-inspired mood board because this is where Amy Butler lives and takes inspiration from for her collection. I like seeing the crisp navy, nice accent.
Name: Alison Coffey
Occupation: Mental Health Counselor
Theme: Midwestern Summer Cottage
Inspiration: The Midwest! And blueberry pavlova, strawberry shortcake, yellow summer flowers, warm breezes, cool breezes, and laid back, casual living. Oh, and just about anything from that awesome company Maine Cottage. I’m a Midwestern girl, but I live in Texas. Oh how I miss the Midwest summers!

If you’ve ever imagined having your very own home spa with a touch of the far east, Joanna designed one centered around her passion for culture, travel, and all that is organic. And don’t miss her blog about living the organic lifestyle, it’s a new favorite of mine.
Name: Joanna Dyckhoff (pronounced ?dai-koff?)
Occupation: Designer (organic lifestyle products/services)
Location: Seattle, WA
Theme: Organic Bliss
Inspiration: My mood board is inspired by the organic spa experience, influenced by the ancient traditions of Asia and India. I love sustainable design, global culture and the spa experience, so I put them together to express a wonderfully vibrant and uplifting mood that I would like to see in my own meditation/lounge room! Another inspiration is the Chopra Center in NY where I was able to experience an amazing & rejuvenating Ayurvedic experience.
Design Notes: The golden brocade pouch is from World Market and a similar wooden hand can be found at INE Imports.
Thank you for entering the decor8/Amy Butler mood board contest, Joanna!

If spending time at the shore is your favorite way to relax, then you’ll really enjoy the color palette and Julia Rothman-inspired seaside modern room that Flavia pulled together. Natural wood combined with white lacquered furniture is such a pretty combination. And these colors – so serene!
Name: Flavia Leite
Occupation: Public Relations Manager
State/Country: Virginia, USA
Theme: Beachy Modern
Inspiration: I wanted to create a room dedicated to working on creative projects. I started with the blue, one of my favorite colors, and was going on a different direction until I saw the pink flamingo pattern by Julia Rothman. It inspired me to make the room brighter and more beach-y. Thanks for holding such a fun contest!
Thank you for entering the decor8/Amy Butler mood board contest, Flavia! I’ll post as many entries as I can fit in today, and then that’s it, the contest will wrap up and tomorrow we’ll all get to vote for our new winners. Yeah!
