Rosemary Milner has the most beautiful screen printed wallpaper, books and fabrics! She is a delightfully talented surface pattern designer from England who recently graduated from art school and clearly has a huge future ahead of her, evident the moment you visit her website. She loves traditional methods of printing and production and craft so she’s keen on things that most of us love — like hand stitching, hand etching, silk-screen printing and lino illustration. Rosemary’s current collections are inspired by flora and fauna with historical narratives.
Her woodland animals, British birds and botany, alongside her own fresh interpretation of them, are quite sweet and charming. There is almost a fairytale-like quality to them, they remind me classic books, picnics in the park and freshly picked daisies. Her embroidery collection and wallpapers are my person favorite. I love the tactile element – stitched fabrics and papers, vintage notions, found items and hand stitched motifs — all things that I absolutely love.
Rosemary is available for commissions and is even open to the idea of extending her designs for the mass market into linens and furnishings. I’m excited to see where she lands someday — such a great future ahead for Miss Rosemary, I’m sure.
I so like, like, like this! Quick someone, I need a like button! :)

After writing about Store Without a Home earlier, I had to further investigate those amazing paper alarm clocks and now I’ve discovered their maker, Korean design studio Joon & Jung. Also based in the Netherlands, Joon & Jung is a conceptual product design studio based in Eindhoven. Their designs are intriguing and so very special because their work is abstract yet practical and there is an obvious story behind each and every design. Joonsoo Kim (Joon) and Jungyou Cho (Jung) met while they were students at the Design Academy Eindhoven and they’ve been working together since 2008.
“Our experiences of studying design in Korea and the Netherlands give a unique affection to concrete our philosophy and aesthetic. Especially, the influence of Dutch Design made us a storyteller with a form language and our design identity more strongly.”
What imagination! You can purchase many of the Joon & Jung creations at Store Without a Home in Amsterdam.

I first found out about Gary Spain in House Beautiful magazine — he is an interior designer based in San Francisco who has some lovely homes in his portfolio that you and I can peek in on today. His work gives a fresh twist to more traditional furnishings and I like how well he layers textures, patterns and colors because the results are welcoming and cozy but also a bit decadent and luxurious.
What elements in these rooms do you appreciate? I like the brown bathroom with that old-fashioned toilet (I know, right — of all things to pick out I like the toilet! LOL) and the round white coffee table with the black base along with all of that pink and black — pretty!
