I heard from such a nice lady the other day, Jen from Bunny and Bee. Jen and her husband Faez once owned a shop in San Francisco’s Haight, but closed up to focus on hand printing designs for their online store. Specializing in clothing for tots, they recently expanded their collection to include pillows, totes, [...]

With so many fashion designers and stores mixing into the world of interiors, my only wish is that J.Crew will expand someday with an entire collection of soft furnishings because I envision most of their patterns in the home. The red and white organic starfish print would be gorgeous on a wingback chair or as [...]
I’m having so much fun with my new etsy widget (see left column) because I really enjoy showing you all the artists on etsy that I’m following and hope that you like watching the “etsy ticker” too. I rarely talk about jewelry on this blog, but after finding these two sellers recently, I can’t hold [...]
While cruising the South End Open Market yesterday, I spotted some great vendors that I wanted to highlight but I just don’t have the time today, so I selected just two. The first, The Dyslexic Press, does a little remix of familiar brands, signs, and modern icons to create very poppy modern graphics that really [...]
Have you heard of Maries Butik? It’s a small online boutique based in Copenhagen with a few unique finds that I thought I’d point you over to, like their assorted paper goods, Malene Helbak porcelain, and their gorgeous porcelain jewelry that I would love to own. Oh, and happy Friday everyone. TGIF!

I can’t believe it! Kerry Cassill now has an online store with home goods and fashion so shout it from the rooftops! To me, there’s nothing better than combining a little Bombay/Mumbai influence with a touch of California sunshine for Summer ‘07. I love how Kerry layers patterns and colors, I think I’ll pick [...]
I have to share these images from artist, Dallas Shaw, taken on opening night of her exhibit at Miami’s Art Fusion Gallery in the design district. Click here to link to the Miami design district website, it’s the best to refer to when you travel there. Also bookmark The Hotel because it’s amazing and Todd [...]
Color, color, color! Bold Missoni takes fashion to another level constantly, so why not the home? And with the stitch pattern being as fabulous as it is, how can you resist?
Neiman Marcus carries the Missoni collection, and although some of it is way out of my reach, the bedding is somewhat affordable, especially if you [...]
I’m excited that Boston local, Sara Jensen from Lost Bird Found, wrote in to extend an offer exclusively to decor8 readers. If you feel so inclined to shop her store between now and May 1st, you’re in for a treat. When you purchase 1 yard (or more) of the lovely pomegranate fabric (cotton or canvas), [...]
Trina Turk has attitude. I love browsing her collections for inspiration, each season brings stronger, more beautiful prints and fabrics than the last.
Interior design trends are constantly evolving, strongly influenced by both the fashion industry and the art world, so enjoy color and pattern in whatever form it takes - a dress can inspire the [...]
Ah… Saltwater. Refreshingly chic. Not to drink, but to wear. And what a cute storefront in giddy London. I love the painted brick walls, hardwood floors, and those windows… Sometimes I wonder if my second calling is commercial space design. I’d love to work on a fashion or home store design project someday. Just [...]
So I was talking to my friend Becky the other day about shoes, because I’m on the hunt for yellow, blue, or red flat peep toes (I loved the BCBG Girls flats in Blueprint this month, but they’re impossible to find via BCBG, you have to hunt around Neiman’s or Macy’s). During this chat, she [...]
Orla’s Spring/Summer 2007 campaign is lovely, her rugs and pillows, and of course the clothes and bags… They make me feel happy today. Pretty images with a splash of yellow, they can really make the beginning of a work week brighter, can’t they? Enjoy.

I first discovered Paulina Reyes a few months ago while browsing the Kate Spade website. Paulina is a painter and illustrator, and a senior member of Kate’s creative team. While browsing the site, I stumbled upon Behind the Curtain, a cornucopia of imagery, links, and all things Kate Spade, including highlights from her current ad [...]
Do you recall the design duo from HGTV’s Design Star, twinsies Teman and Teran Evans? They were guests at Dining By Design, there to enjoy the show along with everyone else. In case you wondered what became of these two, well good news! They’ve launched their own high end accessories design studio, Dioscuri, but not [...]
Fresh from Alena Hennessey’s studio, comes pretty woven pillows, tapestries, and totes in addition to her already solid collection of paintings, apparel, and sculpted birds in flight. I love the new horse pillows and totes - so nice to see something a bit different as far as motifs go… And who doesn’t love a beautiful [...]
These graphic totes from Anthropologie make me happy today. I imagine casually hanging one over a chair and not really needing to store it someplace since it would make a lovely decorative accent. So, so pretty… Priced between $68-78 USD, which I think is quite a steal for Anthro!

Stephanie from Agnes + Hoss in Chicago sent over some great images of her NYIGF booth featuring silk pillows, lamps, lighting, handbags, scarves, and her new obi-style belts (wrapped around glass vases). Oh Stephaine, you continue to dazzle! Just look at these delicious patterns! You can click on any image below for a larger view.

So many scrumptious new products on the Orla Kiely website today… But the wallpaper, oh the wallpaper! Although there’s only 4 patterns to choose from, at least my favorite is one of them - Flower Blossom (top left). That would be gorgeous in a living room or bedroom. I imagine the others in a dining [...]
Did you see some of the lovely new things from Lotta Jansdotter? Oh they are really pretty… Try to control yourself. Or not. I love her new coasters, potholders, and the little owl bag.
Speaking of bags, I really like her collection of them, in all shapes and sizes. I own several and they not [...]
