Etsy Take Five Tuesdays

Hello friends, it’s Tuesday and time for my Etsy picks for the week. Yesterday, I had a phone interview with Good Housekeeping since they wanted to talk to me about my upcoming book and were curious as to how I find so many good shops on Etsy for this column each week (honored!). I was very flattered that the writer follows this column and knowing that inspired me to keep it going for 2011 as I toyed with the idea of discontinuing it. You can look for me in the May issue of Good Housekeeping, where I’ll share some of my favorite Etsy shops and others online that specialize in vintage finds for the home. Now onto my picks for the week. I hope that you like them!

The beautiful watercolor prints by Amber Alexander in Vermont feature whimsical animals that will no doubt captivate you.

Miles of Light nature prints and cards are completely captivating. I imagine them looking so lovely in a variety of rooms, they really touch my heart!

Have a dog? Silly Buddy will steal your heart with doggy bow-tie collars and fantastic leashes in fun prints and patterns. These are soooo cute….

Have a whale of a time with these tissue holders from Gnome Sweeet Gnome.

English Muffin Shop has the sweetest art for kid’s and the young at heart in her shop, which is based out of Montreal, Canada. Love her pretty world maps the most!

Ready for Etsy Take Five Tuesday for this week? Posing pup, old cups, curious characters, cheeky beaks and edgy seats… my quirky round up this week should satisfy you and make you smile. Enjoy!

If you love photos of dogs (and cats), you’ll adore the animal portraits by Sibling Rivalrie. These are so cute, oh my goodness I want a pet again soooo bad. I have a pug crush (they are called “mops” in Germany) at the moment. Any pet crushes you’d like to share?

Etsy Take Five Tuesday

I’ve talked about the Mincing Mockingbird before, but I have to remind you to visit this great shop again in case you’ve not stopped by in awhile. I love these serene blue and green hues and sweet little birds — though the shop still stocks plenty of cheeky beaks, too!

The vintage goods (not to mention the pretty product shots) in the 5 Gardenias shop may catch your fancy (and possibly be worth a bookmark). If you love old-fashioned charm that includes old cups, lovely glassware, vintage sheers and colorful spools then this shop is one to frequent for new, errr old, finds.

Etsy Take Five Tuesday

The whimsical illustrations by illustrator Tracey Long in London, also known as Chasing The Crayon on Etsy, has a fantastic imagination and a great eye for color — I adore her whimsical characters as well.

German etsy shop ShowRaum (showroom) has several fantastic designers who combine vintage materials to create edgy and new products from furniture to lighting and beyond. If in Berlin, you can visit this cool new shop in Berlin’s hip Kreuzberg district at Schönleinstrasse 3 or visit their website for more information.

Hope you liked my round up, see you tomorrow with more bloggy finds for you to enjoy!

Hello everyone! It’s time for Etsy Take Five Tuesday so today I’ll share five etsy sellers who rock my world. From fashion illustration to poufs for the living room floor, perhaps you will find a few favorite things of your own. Enjoy!

If you love fashion illustration in dreamy watercolor pastels, then Cate Parr is the artist for you. Her work drips with gorgeousness and oozes with style. Original art, mini paintings and prints — she offers many choices and they are all breathtaking. You can also request a custom piece, wow, imagine that!

F2 Images has touching photography that I’m sure you’ll like. I especially love this antique oval framed pink walking stick with the green velvet ribbon. It would be perfect displayed on an art wall.

If you adore tiny stuffed little bits of cuteness then Stitchface is for you. Based in Toronto, these one-of-a-kind animals are lovely to adorn a shelf or to place in something like this.

If you love gorgeous, handmade and super affordable poufs then lacasadecoto in Barcelona is definitely the shop for you. She is really into color but also makes poufs in light gray and does custom work if you want something more sophisticated for your home. But if it’s playful you love, then you have a rainbow to choose from. I can’t believe how stunning they are for the price — wow, you can scoop up several and support an artist while simultaneously sticking to your budget.

It’s been awhile since I wrote about my talented friend Marisa from Creative Thursday. I’m always amazed by how quickly she can paint the whimsical little characters in her head and how they radiant such joy. I love how she uploads what is in her heart onto paper…
