The San Francisco event last night was amazing! A big hug to Lorraine and Peter first of all, from Chronicle, for being so awesome and helpful (love you guys!) and next a big thanks to Anthropologie who put on quite a gorgeous event for Decorate! I’m off to the airport now to catch a flight to LA so tonight you can meet me at The Grove from 6:30-7:30 so stop by and say hello, get a copy of Decorate (they are sold out online and in most stores), and I’ll sign your book and you can meet and mingle with my special guests and others who are coming by to join me. I am really looking forward to this evening so I’ll see you all in LA!
THANK YOU SAN FRANCISCO for such a mega welcome to your city – I felt so honored to meet all of you.
I left Chicago this morning and now I’m in San Francisco preparing for my next event but I had to jump on quickly to THANK YOU CHIGAGO for such a warm and enthusiastic welcome to your city! The event was so nice and I loved how cozy everyone was on all of the beautiful sofas and chairs that Anthropologie set up for us munching snacks and listening intently to my presentation – it was such a nice group!
The set up, food & drinks, the mood board and “play stuff”, my signing table… everything was done with such care by the staff at Anthropologie. It was so nice to meet everyone and I’m really looking forward the San Francisco event tomorrow night! I want to thank my special guest, Nicole Balch, for speaking at the Chicago event last night and for helping me as I went through my presentation by pinning things on the board as I talked. Nicole is such a nice person, really genuine and intelligent — I am honored that I was able to finally meet her after only knowing her online for all of these years.
Thank you again Chicago for the nice welcome, a special thanks to Anthropologie, and a big hug to everyone who came to get your book signed. I had a great time and really enjoyed meeting so many of you in person. xooxo

I was sent some lovely images from Rice in Denmark recently and I thought I’d post them quickly because the bright hues don’t feel like the typical Autumn colors to me at all and this is indeed their Fall collection. These vivid hues leap from the images! You can view their entire catalog online here.
How’s that for a Fall collection!?
Hello everyone! I’m preparing for my flight to Chicago today but wanted to pop in quickly to thank everyone for attending the Boston Decorate Workshop + Signing at Anthropologie on Saturday. It was GREAT!!! I couldn’t believe how many showed up and all of the beautiful faces in the crowd — so friendly, so encouraging and very enthusiastic about the book which was such a delight. I signed books for 2.5 hours straight without a break – I couldn’t pause for a moment – I felt so energized by everyone’s warm welcome. I will post highlights from the Boston event once I get to Chicago and settle into my hotel, but for now, I’ll leave you with this photo of some books on display in store…
My next event is in Chicago tomorrow evening (details below) and I would love to meet you! Here are the details. If you can RSVP please do, but if not, this is open to the public so it’s also okay to just stop by and say hello to me and have your book signed – Anthropologie still has them in stock but they are sold out elsewhere and currently being reprinted for the third time. YAY!
I wish you a lovely day – I’ll be back later on with Boston highlights and more!
Chicago here I come!
