Is it me, or is this capiz shell lotus flower ball chandelier (gulp, what a mouthful!) insanely gorgeous? It’s from Graham and Green, one of those websites you dare not look at unless you enjoy feeling like your home will *never* be where you want it to be. But talk about eye candy. After looking at the price of this ball chandelier, I have to let it roll off into the home of someone who can drop a grand on a light fixture. Certainly not me. Even so, this will forever be the one that I’ll regret not purchasing… The one that got away. Sigh. And look at that dreamy pale blue wall color. Pure bliss.
I’ve known about the new title soon to be released by Lotta Jansdotter, Simple Sewing: Patterns and How-To for 24 Fresh and Easy Projects (Hardcover) for some time now, but had no clue Lotta blogged until I heard it from my friend Anh-Minh. Isn’t that a great bit of information to stumble upon? I thought so.
You have to check out Lotta’s blog, and don’t forget to pre-order her new book at Amazon for $16. It releases March 1st, and I can’t wait to try some of the projects inside. I’m also excited to see the photos inside since her photographer is Meiko Arquillos who is responsible for some beautiful work for ReadyMade magazine and Chronicle Books. Yeah!

This is the perfect gift for the friend who never seems to tire of her constantly ringing cell phone. The I’m So Popular phone book from Pamela Barsky is the cutest, and if you think we’ve put this behavior in the past just because we’re out of high school… Well ladies, you’re wrong. I know lots of high school students running around and they graduated light years ago… Pick up yours here at See Jane Work for $25 and let the popularity contest begin.

Show of hands… All in favor of this chalkboard vase say, “buy!” I think it’s darling… Found at Contemporary Living in the UK. Great DIY idea for that vase you’re totally sick of in your bottom drawer (collecting dust). Add a little chalkboard paint and viola! A fresh new look just in time for Spring. Your choice – buy it or DIY it!
