danke to design*sponge

Danke to design*sponge for sharing some great links to her fave Brooklyn shops; I’ve added them to the decor8 shopping list (located to your right beneath ny.brooklyn). Thanks, Grace!

In case you didn’t hear the news (maybe you’ve been hiding out in caves for the past 6 months?), design*sponge is relaunching in a few days with a total facelift so make sure you check it out!

Sesame Letterpress + Buy Olympia

I’m lovin’ these letterpress coasters from Sesame Letterpress out of Brooklyn. You can find them online at Buy Olympia. $4.99 for a set of 6. Aren’t they fun?

Tricia Guild

I’ve been a great fan of Tricia Guild, the force behind Designer’s Guild in London, for several years now, as I first learned about her in design school while taking a Color Theory class. If there’s anyone that isn’t afraid of using color, it’s Tricia Guild. Her innate ability to use color, woven together with her love of nature and travel create what is to me, a most amazingly brilliant color palette full of passion and enthusiasm for life. She has a new collection of prints, wallcoverings, and fabrics, Grand Paradiso, Essentials, Samarkand, and Cherry Orchard, that are positively lush. I can’t pass up this opportunity to share them with all of you with a short presentation located beneath the links to your right. ———————————>
I’ve selected about 15 photos to whet your appetite for adding bold rich home to your space this Spring.

If you do want to make a purchase, you can head over to the Martin Group showroom at the Boston Design Center. They’re lovely people and I’m sure they’d be happy to assist you. If you’re not in the Boston area, click here.

Enjoy the show!

coffee + cre8tive [feb 17 '06]

Today, I’m inspired by this image designed by William Morrissey. The bold red + white floral pattern combined with the soft chiffon-like pink dancing across the image made me feel the strength of being a woman. Strong yet gentle. I love how bold and lovely it is.

This image inspires me to be more bold today, to just stand up and go for what I believe in, to go where no (wo)man has gone before, to strive to be totally, 100% FIERCE. But first, I’m heading to Starbucks and I need to go pick up some gallon water and buy some socks at Target.

See you guys soon! :)
