CB2

Doesn’t this room totally speak to you? Extreme clean all the way. The airiness of the table, the window seat chairs with peek-a-boo cut outs, the minty fresh walls…so uplifting. I don’t know whether I want to eat in this space or grab a plank mat and strike a pose.

Do you like the table? It’s from CB2 and is a great value at $299; I’m marking this a budget find. I think the frosty glass on top is cool without being cold. The simple shape makes it easy to seat 6 of your pals for dinner, and after they’ve left, wake up the next day to start working on your wireless laptop since the top has plenty of work space.

Here are some more CB2 finds for minimalist chic!

comma plates, $1.95 each! VALUE!
your friends will pause when they see these.

palm leaf pillows, $24.95 each

coffee + cre8tive [feb 14 2006]

We took this photo in October 2006 while inside the Niki de Saint Phalle grotto, 3 stunning rooms made entirely of glass, in the Hannover Herrenhausen garten. I love the vivid colors forming a mosaic collage of mirrors and colors. Maybe you recognize the nana in the fountain?

What do you think of it? Do you like it? Dislike? Your thoughts?

links + contributions

linkage
decor8 has an entire column dedicated to our favorite links – meaning mine and yours! Have you noticed? I hope you enjoy the shopping links grouped according to city. The list is still under construction, but with your help, growth shall occur! I’m sure you must have some hip shops in your city that you’d like to brag about, so don’t be shy!

talk talk
Also, if you’d like to contribute (i.e. post something), please let me know because decor8 is a community of people – not just me. If you’re a witty writer that loves design and has something to say about it, speak up! You’ll get major cyber hugs if you want to post about design finds in your city from art museums to those little shops that you love. I know decor8 readers would totally dig it. Plus, it’s a fun way to experience posting on a blog before an audience to see if it’s something you’d like to start on your own.

Got links? Have something to post about? Give me a shout at decor8blog [at] yahoo [dot] com
