2 Jane

The March issue of Glamour magazine just arrived, and I spotted this really lacy vinyl adhesive that you can actually peel and stick to your wall – not just windows – and it’s in bright blue! It’s so nice. You have to grab the March issue and turn to page 288. It’s displayed behind the white sofa. Love it!

You can find the lacy adhesive stuff shown above at 2 Jane, along with the fun pixel pattern show below. The other 3 photos are sample shots of wallpaper they carry too. It would be nice to wallpaper one wall in your entryway or a wall behind your dining room table, just to give the room a focal point and add some pattern without going overboard.

I love all these new options in wall treatments – finally, the days of boring pottery barn painted walls – fading quickly! Americans are getting fresh and funky with vibrant patterns and colors for the home. It’s fun to see primary colors, like blues and reds, surfacing again, too. Happy colors for a happy home. Love love love it!

Importu

long stem vase from thailand, $39.99

Global warming!

If you like to go global from time to time, there’s an inexpensive shop online called Importu that carries items from all over the world, many that would fit into a modern home. They carry everything from japanese noren linens to moroccan tea glasses (which are very in vogue now). I located a few fresh finds on thier website that are blogworthy – check them out! I like these items because they are very natural and textural. I think it’s important to bring little bits of nature into your home, whether it’s a bird feather you found in the park, or stones you collected along the coast that you rest on a table to remind you of the simple things that give such pleasure. Would any of these items fit your apartment or home?

chinese 9 square bamboo mat, $149
indonesian preserved leaf tissue box, $24.99
chinese hand painted goldfish, porcelain tea set for 4, $164.99

Liora Manne

La Perla hugs your curves perfectly, but where do you go when you want lacy lingerie for your shapeless floor? Dress it up with a Kuba rug!

Nestled in trendy SoHo at 91 Grand between Mercer and Green in NYC, Liora Manne’s store is a must-see if you’re in the city. I love her lighting collection, funky bold placemats, lumina resin trays, and montique platters because they remind me of patterns and styles used in Germany. From her rug collection, my favorite rug is Kuba, a crisp green, laser cut rug that looks like a giant doily – it really pops! The lacy design is lingerie for your floor, oh-la-la!

To learn more about the production process for Liora Manne’s patented medium for creating rugs + pillows, click here. With a detailed explanation and lots of photos, it’s quite impressive, Most items can be ordered on her website, however to order a rug or lighting, please contact Ms. Manne directly here.
