Holly Becker is an American creative entrepreneur, best-selling author, and the founder of decor8 - a platform that covers all aspects of design, including interior design, decorating, lifestyle, and creativity that launched in early 2006.

The blog has a strong focus on personal, casual style, with Holly often sharing her own ideas and projects with readers and she is known for her approachable and personal style, love of handmade craft, and her ability to blend vintage, modern, and global elements into her work. Her writing is warm, engaging and informative, and she often shares personal stories and insights into her work and overall design process. You can also find Holly engaging regularly in her decor8 Substack subscriber community where she publishes 3-5 days weekly.

Holly began her career in the design industry in 2006 as both a blogger and a freelance writer for various publications, including Domino, FLOW, Real Simple, Living at Home, and HOLLY. Since 2009, she also offers online courses and workshops on topics focused on creative entrepreneurs that range from blogging and social media to styling and photography.

Her four best-selling books on design and decor have been translated into nearly 20 languages and include, Decorate: 1,000 Design Ideas for Every Room in Your Home, Decorate Workshop: Design and Style Your Space in 8 Creative Steps, Decorate with Flowers, and Decorate for a Party. Her books are sold worldwide.

Holly is highly respected in the design industry and has been featured in hundreds of publications and books and regularly gives keynotes at leading industry fairs and she has consulted and collaborated with many notable brands, including Anthropologie, Ferm Living, West Elm, and Martha Stewart.

Originally from Boston (USA), Holly lives in Hannover, Germany with her husband and 9-year-old son in 120-year-old home that she loves to decorate (and re-decorate!).
