DWR - New for Spring!

Here's my DWR wish list from the new Spring collection. One can dream, can't she? You can view more fresh finds for spring here. Make sure you click on the designers links below, you can never be too rich, too slim, or too design-savvy!

Saarinen Tulip Table $1,298 Made in Italy. Designed by Eero Saarinen. Designed in 1956, the tulip table, with its fluted pedestal and almost weightless appeal, is a great option when you want a table that is stable but not bulky. Visually, this table doesn't consume the room, which I like. My friend, Lisa, has this table in her dining space and around it, she gives warmth to the modern tulip table with birch chairs that resemble the Svedese Fortune Chairs with a fabric seat and solid hardwood frame. I prefer the tulip as Lisa has it, with wood chairs vs. the tulip chairs shown below. Zig Screen $698 Designed by Achyut Kantawala and Edward Ng (both form SEED, based right here in Cambridge, MA for the locals). So many of us require mobile workspaces, that this modular DIY room divider made of plywood can solve our space issues in a flash. Great for dividing home office space from the bedroom, or if you're in a loft, this is an attractive option to divide sleep space from the living room area. It can be easily shaped to fit your needs, doesn't require tools, and is a much more affordable solution over erecting an actual wall.
B-Pop Side Chair $218, Made in Italy. Designed by Omar de Biaggio from JOB's. Beech ply and stainless steel tubular seating. Whimsy meets mid century modern.
Selene Chair $175 Designed by Vico Magistretti. Available in Crystal, Red, or White. I would personally prefer the Crystal, again, because it's versatile and it will also match my space. I like this chair because it's made out of a single piece of transparent polycarbonate and has a very sleek look to it. It's also appealing because you can stack up to 6 of them and store them for times when you'll use them, such as during a cocktail or card party.
Logo Sofa. $1,598. Made in Denmark. Designed by Busk and Hertzog. I love this piece, tried it out in store and it's comfortable and made very well. It's great because it can easily transform into a bed for guests. I have a thing against traditional sleeper sofas with those horribly uncomfortable mattresses, so I'd opt for this instead. I also don't have a lot of space in a 2 bedroom, so this is perfect for my 2nd bedroom and doesn't totally consume the space as a bed would. Nice find. The chrome-plated steel sleigh legs aren't bad either, they give some personality that I find, often lacks in sleeper styles. The fabric is very nice, 100% felt. I can't resist felt. Also available in charcoal, which I like better than the red shown below since it allows the dweller more versatility, especially if the dweller happens to be a total design addict and changes colors every season. :) Not that *I* do that or anything.... My absolute favorite sleeper style from DWR is the Sliding Sofa in Green. I'm quite sweet on this sofa.
