Nahcotta Gallery + A Call to Artists!
I love spending time in Portsmouth, New Hampshire because there's always a little shop to explore, a gallery to visit, and a good sandwich to be gobbled up over at the Rusty Hammer. One stop that's always on my list is Nahcotta, which is why I was so excited when Deb wrote in this week to tell me about an upcoming art show they're having -- and if you're an artist -- how YOU can get involved!
Nahcotta features the artwork of both established and emerging artists in a gorgeous, two-level gallery located in the heart of Portsmouth along the waterfront. With an eye for modern design, they're well known for their contemporary art exhibitions and home decor, and given their location, they have a steady flow of foot traffic all year round -- especially in the warmer months and in Autumn, when the port city is bustling.
Their upcoming show, Enormous Tiny Art Show II, will feature only work that is 10" x 10" or smaller and will take place from September 12th - October 7th. This show will be in conjunction with Three Graces Gallery, whom I wrote about here on decor8 recently (another great gallery in the city). The Three Graces show will be called "Teenie Tiny Art Show."
If you're an artist that is interested in contacting Nahcotta and perhaps entering your work, please email Deb at gallery AT nahcotta DOT com with "tiny art" in the subject line, and she'll send you the official application.
Have fun and thanks Deb for contacting me!
