Frenchblue & Co.
Who says you can't work with your best friend? Or that starting a business with a family member always leads to trouble? I'm all for collaborating with others who share a common vision, whether it's a mother, sister, husband, or BFF. We work with who inspires us and who 'gets' us. Period. The longer I spend time online researching companies, the more I'm finding sisters, couples, and best friends going into business together and finding success. You don't have to go it alone! Take Frenchblue & Co. for example. This small online shop is owned by a team of two sisters who have exquisite taste and love to shop flea markets and estate sales to unearth treasures for the rest of us. You know, for those not out bargain-hunting brocantes on the weekends in Paris. {Sigh.}
Together these talented ladies scour mostly France and California to gather vintage and antique items for the home that stand out as different. Inspired by the designs of Dorothy Draper and Kelly Wearstler, it's no surprise to find everything from pineapple lamps to pale blue cane chairs in their shop.
My favorite finds: the pineapple lamp ($125), Ram Side Table ($895), a pair of old French beaded bulb covers ($165), and of course their jewelry selection of rare pieces that you won't see all of your friends wearing at your next soiree.
What about shipping? Frenchblue & Co. offers free insured shipping within the U.S. or they'll deliver at no charge locally in the Los Angeles area. If you live outside of the U.S., please email them for rates.
