Inspired by Ian Carpenter

This isn't typically a color palette I'd be into but something about all of these tones of green mingling with oranges and yellows really speaks to me right now. I guess my heart is whispering Palm Springs when my body is screaming, "No Holly, you are really still buried under a mountain of ice and snow in New Hampshire so deal with it". Ha! One can dream!

Thanks to 20X200 and Ian Carpenter's "Saint-Pierre" for taking me out west today, if only in my dreams... I imagine seeing this painting in a light, bright home interiors slash clothing boutique filled with lucite, Trina Turk fabrics, and a bold kelly green lacquered cabinet. Oh, and of course plenty of rattan and a dash of mid century modern pottery thrown in, a cactus here and cactus there, some metallic thong sandals, a metallic side table.  Ah, southern California.
