Etsy Take Five Tuesday

I made it, I made it! I seriously have been wanting to get this post up since yesterday afternoon but I’ve been a bit sidetracked for reasons I’ll tell you more about on Monday. Anyway, here’s my picks for this week — a day late — I hope that you enjoy them. It’s Etsy Take Five Tuesday on a Wednesday this week. :)

If you love white and vintage finds, then All Things White is the shop for you! When I found this shop I immediately thought of one of my favorite books, At Home With White — do you know it? Great book, I highly recommend it if you’re a lover of a fresh, clean palette that doesn’t read sterile. All Things White sells some lovely items, particularly nice because they have that age about them that gives them character and makes white welcoming and warm vs. cold and clinical. A lot of these things would work great as props if you’re a stylist. This shop is based in the midwest but will ship internationally.

Minu in New Zealand has the best artist bio ever on her website, so down-to-earth and real, you know? She’s really talented, I love her illustrations and softies, and enjoy her photos on Flickr and over on her blog, too.

Michiko Shimada is a Brooklyn-based product designer who does some pretty neat things to clay! Inspired by organic shapes with a focus on functional items for the kitchen, her little store isn’t stocked to the gills but what I did find felt worthy enough to highlight in this week’s take five — I think you’ll like them too!

If you’re looking for a little rest and relaxation then this shop may bring you the peace and quiet that you’ve been longing for. These handmade bath and beauty products by Mireio in Oregon are just a delight — I especially love the travel pillows filled with organic buckwheat hulls and luxurious lavender from Provence. The pretty postcards are a treat as well.

Gabrielle Kai is a photographer who lives in Duluth, GA that I’d like to share with you today, her palette is very soft and dreamy (oh the colors!) and I love her focus on mostly the outdoors. Gabrielle maintains a gorgeous photo blog and a website, too. You can also connect with her on Flickr.
