Floral Notes
I can’t help but notice all of the feminine floral details out there now in the world of fashion, interiors, art and indie crafts. I’m inspired. In fact, I’ve been daydreaming about flowers and this amazing flower/gift shop in my new city where I can’t wait to visit again in August because I want to show you it so badly. It’s unlike anything I’ve ever seen in the states. I plan to approach the owner and ask her if I can photograph it to share here on decor8. You will absolutely adore this place, I pinky swear it! As soon as I’m on the other side of the pond I’ll ask… and if she says yes expect to see the flower shop of my dreams (and maybe yours) in just a few short months. It’s the best I’ve ever seen and when it comes to florists I’m picky having grown up with one (my mom). Anyway… here are just a few quick floral notes to share with you. A simple pillow, a floral jacket over a bed, a scarf as an accent, a headboard… you don’t have to overcook the look. A simple dash is often all you need to make it feminine.
Subtle blooms in the bedroom at Living Etc magazine.
And florals in fashion, these are from J.Crew.
And a gentle touch in the dining area, also from Living Etc. Again - just a dab between the ear so to speak, certainly not bathing in the entire bottle. It’s also a nice way to get away with floral touches if you live with men, too.
I love these subtle floral notes… don’t you?
