Kristina Dam Studio "Sculptural Minimalism" Exhibition at 3daysofdesign
I remember first discovering Danish architect-turned-designer Kristina Dam in Frankfurt at design fair, Ambiente in 2018. She so nicely gave me some prints and explained her architectural background and love of minimalism and clean lines and how this influenced her body of work - which was then very new and not yet a known brand. Today in Europe, Kristina Dam Studio has evolved and grown into a name synonymous with clean, honest, contemporary design.
Recently at 3daysofdesign in Copenhagen, the annual design festival for Danish brands and artists, Kristina Dam Studio showcased unique artworks and sculpture by Kristina Dam herself, alongside pieces from the studio collection in the apartment of fashion connoisseur Kim Grenaa, owner of Grenaa Creative Living.
The stunning apartment, tucked away in the backyard of an old architectural factory in Copenhagen center and provided the perfect setting for Dam’s one-of-a-kind paintings and sculptures, along with showcasing the new Outline Desk with its sleek lines, steel frames and solid oak desktop and drawers. The desk elegantly combines classic Danish design with a more forward-looking contemporary vibe. Would you like to see some photos of this inspiring piece, along with the space overall?
Don’t you just love her sculptural objects and that patio furniture? I would love to have that personally, but I don’t have outside space as a city dweller living high up in a German altbau on the 2nd floor (American 3/4 floor). But if I did, I’d love to own the beige patio furniture shown above - it’s gorgeous - here are the links: Bauhaus Lounge Bench and Bauhaus Lounge Chair.
What else do you see in these photos that catches your eye?
What a lovely display of items - thank you for joining me today friends - see you again soon!
Love,
Holly
