Matthew Mead’s New Magazine
Stylist, photographer, writer, art director — I could go on and on — the talented Matthew Mead wrote to me recently to share some of the pages of his new magazine, Holiday, and I thought I’d show you a glimpse or two to inspire you today. I’m so proud to see Matthew doing a magazine!
This self-published magazine was born of Matthew’s desire to connect directly with readers and to produce, direct, style and photograph every aspect of his work and create something beautiful to hopefully fill the void on newsstands today. He even writes the recipes! I don’t know about you, but I could use some tea and cookies right about now…
As you can see, his premiere issue includes a variety of decorating styles, recipes, entertaining and more and I appreciate that he is experimenting with less traditional color palettes — it’s a refreshing change and feels very fresh. His goal is to expand with a quarterly magazine filled with inspiring seasonal lifestyle and decorating ideas — the launch of HOLIDAY will hopefully pave the way!

I knew this issue would be a good one, but WOW those photos are gorgeous! I love the non-traditional colors for the holidays.

I ordered the magazine some time ago and have been trying to forget about it because he is one of the masters of styling, and I know it will be outstanding…so I had to stop a second before I scrolled through the images, not wanting to spoil the fun! Now I am really impatient! Thanks for the sneak peek.
