Now & Then: Home of Stylist Emma Persson Lagerberg
These photos made me happy today because I love seeing how stylists decorate their homes and also how they change things up as their needs change and tastes evolve.
I found this delightful home on Irene’s beautiful blog and it belongs to interior stylist Emma Persson Lagerberg that was photographed by Petra Bindel and instantly remembered it but noticed immediately that a lot has changed since I last saw it. But first, isn’t this minty green haven so serene and lovely?
What a modern, soft application of pastels applied in a very grown up way – and edited so perfectly. You can see the entire apartment here but a glimpse below. It’s glorious beyond words. At the bottom of this post, you can see the way this space looked before Emma redecorated. It was equally gorgeous then, too.
It looks like Emma’s former dining room is now a kitchen/dining room combo and the lilac accents in the apartment have been replaced with more mint.
THEN & NOW – let’s have a little fun now and examine the details, shall we?
I spot the disco ball in the window of the living room now vs. in the center of the space, too. Glad they kept the disco ball, my favorite feature! What an incredible transformation. I spot a new sofa too. It’s looking a bit more elegant, don’t you think?
What do you think?

Thank you Holly. Beautiful photos and great to see the comparison to before. Fantastic example of how a professional goes from ‘already great to greater’.
I especially loved the little glass shelf in the window.

I love the then and now photos – the theory of evolution made plain!

Beautiful places & evolution!
Odd to put a kitchen cabinet right over your hob though, where it will be damaged from the steam created when cooking. Would have looked better moved to the right as well?

Yes – I think it looks a bit more refined now but did love the lavender/purple accents in the previous design. Both are lovely though!
