Textile Arts

Textile Arts offers some of the best fabric and wall hanging kits I've seen, by far. If you love fabric that pops, crave something unique, and fancy the idea of owning art that you won't see in everyone else's pad, look no more. "If you can't sew...our kit is the answer. You supply a staple gun and iron and in under an hour you can have a framed piece of marimekko on your walls", so claims this nifty online shop. Click on the Marimekko page to view fabrics categorized by style; large panels, abstracts, oilcloth, uphostery, whimsy, stripes/checks, retro, botancials, and don't forget the kiddies with their own line of fabric for children. You can also browse the Ljungbergs Fabric for stunning prints by some of Sweden's premiere textile designers. Don't forget to view their wall hanging kits along with their extensive line of bedding, handbags, pillows... I could go on and on. Their line is extensive, beautiful, affordable, and so unique that you'll be forced to make a purchase. When you do, please let me know what you found. Oh, and one last note before I sign off... don't forget to view their Kitchen line. The 12.5" x 17" laminated tray by Maija Louekari is a must-have! (photo: Hetkia Moments print.)
