eBay Picks

I'd like to thank you for taking the decor8 survey while I was on vacation, the response was overwhelming in a very positive way! As I read through each answer last night, eBay kept popping up because many of you are looking for quality budget finds. Since I've been both a seller (I sold mostly flea market finds part-time from 1999-2004) and a buyer for 8 years on eBay, I've amassed quite a collection of links to sellers that I think have some great items, so since that's what you're looking for more of on decor8, with my experience I think I can bring it. At least, I'll try! :) With that, I've decided to post a weekly summary of a few of my eBay picks for the week - starting now!

I love these mid century chairs from Floretro (bookmark them) because they're stylish, the design is timeless, and you can buy all four chairs newly upholstered for only $550, or start bidding at $450. They're quite McCobb-esque, don't you think? If you want them bad enough, I'd select buy it now because they could bid up to hundreds over asking price. Shipping it $150. They'd look great around a tulip table, but if these were mine, I'd reupholster the seats in a gorgeous Kerry Cassill blue and white print. I love navy paired with dark wood tones and of course, white, white, and more white! Actually, they'd look great reupholstered in any of these Cassill prints below, all new from her Fall '07 collection.

In the market for an inexpensive danish modern sofa? Bids start on this sofa, also from Floretro, at $850, or you can buy it now for $1,250. It's a beauty, the rattan sides and gorgeous nubby fabric have my attention.

Let me know what you are looking for on eBay and while I'm scouting, I'll keep your suggestions in mind. Sound good?
