Rooms 2 Wear {Exotic Eclectic & Glamour Girl}

Last month Ez from Creature Comforts and I hopped on the phone for a little creative chat along the lines of what we could collaborate on that would be fun for our readers and the results are in... We'd like to like introduce you to a new feature called Rooms 2 Wear!

I'm a huge fan of the shows What Not To Wear and Dress My Nest (my dream is to meet Stacy London, Clinton Kelly and Thom Filicia) and I love fashion, but I'm no expert at pulling together outfits so I'm not about to turn decor8 into a fashion and design blog. That's where Ez comes in since she's a fashion pro (she attended fashion school in L.A. so the girl knows her stuff). She'll pull together a "look" in fashion and using her look as inspiration, I'll pull together a room. We'll post our collaborative collections on our blogs and viola! Rooms 2 Wear is born!

Exotic Eclectic room by decor8: Standing black Giverny mirror, Patrick Townsend white orbit chandelier, Jasper slipcover sofa, Samantha Hahn print (black frame), Dahlias in a Row by Marisa Haedike, STAACH cain collection stool, vintage anglepoise lamp from a flea market in black (or new here), Cosmos canvas storage box for holding magazines, LACK coffee table, fresh flowers from Jayson Home + Garden, sofa pillows available at Lagom Designs, IKEA Stockholm Rand rug.

Exotic Eclectic fashion by Creature Comforts (resources here).

Glamour Girl room by decor8. Butterfly shadowbox and Cirrus bedding from Anthropologie, D'orsay mirror and Brigette bench from Ballard Designs, Heirloom wallpaper from Walnut Wallpaper, chandelier from Lamps Plus, and mirrored chest from Horchow.

Would you like to get involved? You can create a room from either look and show us how you'd translate them into your own outfit or room. You can send the rooms to me via email and the outfits to Ez. Photoshop (Elements is affordable), or Polyvore are good tools to get you started. When you email your "look" to us, please include links to where you found everything. We'll post our favorite translations on Creature Comforts and decor8 linking them to wherever it is that you live on the web (your blog, website, etc.).

We're excited and determined to post Rooms 2 Wear as often as we can, so stay tuned...

Psst: Speaking of Thom Filicia, have you entered his contest?

(For links to the items Ez used in her collection, please visit her blog.)
