Denyse Schmidt Launches New Fabric

Denyse Schmidt has done it again! This time she has launched Country Fair, a new fabric that is heavier than usual for decorating projects at home such as pillows and chair covers. Her fresh new take on vintage patterns are bright and sassy with a definite country vibe, printed on 54? wide 100% cotton canvas making them both durable and beautiful in florals and prints so tiny that they almost look like a solid.

The County Fair collection also includes a ?cheater? print, Patchwork Promenade (shown above), that has six "pieced" 18" square blocks that are ready for stitching and quilting projects. It is printed in a 36" x 54" repeat appearing as pieced which saves time for modern, busy crafters.

This collection is priced at around $18/yard so it's super affordable and will be available at stores nationwide in June, for a complete stocklist click here.

She recently released a new quilting pattern called Single Girl. I love the meaning behind it. It's her witty take on the traditional double wedding ring pattern -- only a single ring pattern. It's cool to be single and there should be a quilt celebrating it, right!?

Psst: Attending the Portland, Oregon Quilt Market? You can meet Denyse (5/16) and preview her new fabric collection in FreeSpirit's booth (#1802-1824) May 16 - May 18. Denyse will be in the booth May 16th.
